My Favorite Bead Embroidery book
I haven't had a chance to try the techniques out yet but in thumbing through the pages this one looks by far the best bead embroidery book I've seen as far as illustrations and easy to understand instructions go.

One of the best filet books on the market

Terrific pattern book
The intent with this book is to provide the lacemaker with lots of simple, attractive patterns that work up quickly and easily. In this the author has succeeded very well. The style ranges from "cute" to "stunning", so there's something for everybody. A word to beginners though: this book contains diagrams only, virtually no written instruction. This is not the book to try to learn lacemaking ...

It tells you how to do an I-Cord, and gives you 6 varieties: knotted, 2-color, double twist etc etc.
