The Buck Book: All Sorts of Things to do with a Dollar Bill-Besides Spend It16 reviews
Anne Akers Johnson

Klutz, 1993

Great gift for my 13 year old daughter!
We gave this to my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She's an artistic sort of girl...likes origami, etc so it was right up her alley. We cannot believe all of the cool things she makes with a dollar bill and she can do it anywhere. It's a great conversation starter and has made her popular with her friends! Absolutely would recommend this book!

Great item
I had never heard the real King Arthur tale. I enjoyed it tremendously! Sean Bean's narration of this tale is exquisite. His voice is perfect for books on tape. Such depth. You felt you were really there. I would recommend this to anyone!

Lawrence M. Tierney, Stephen J. McPhee, ...

McGraw-Hill Medical, 2005

Feel Updated and Great
Reading this book makes one feel "updated and great". It stands out prominently amongst the other standard voluminous texts in Medicine and a notable feature is that it is brought out every year. A student of Medicine and a Physician ought to have this manual in their desks for day to day reference. This book also helps immensely in the last minute revision prior to examinations.Evidence based ...

Julie's Wolf Pack (Julie of the Wolves)
I really liked all three of the books in the Julie series. I liked all the information they had about life in the Arctic Circle, and found these stories very believable. I liked learning about why dogs/wolves behave the way that they do. I would recommend these books to anyone. Hunter 10

I Spy A Winner!
The I Spy Spooky Night book is one of many 'I Spy' books our family has enjoyed. We have the 'I Spy Extreme Challenger!', 'I Spy Super Challenger', 'I Spy School Days', 'I Spy Treasure Hunt' and the 'I Spy Mystery' book just to name a few of them. They will entertain no matter what your age. Our children and now our grandchildren have pulled these books out many times. They are like magnets and ...

Dear Tooth Fairy11 reviews
Alan Durant

Walker Books Ltd, 2003

What a great book!
My 5 year old son lost his 1st tooth. When we went to look for Tooth Fairy books he didn't like all the "fairies". He wouldn't even consider this book because it was pink. I started reading it and loved it. When I read it to him at home he LOVED it! He got so excited to open the envelopes in the book. He had me play the riddler that came with over and over again. His eyes lit up when he ...

An Addict
I was given this book when I was around 8 or 9 years old, it has been many years and sadly to say my copy was lost to me a couple years ago. It is one of my favorite books and I am currently awaiting my chance to read it again. This book is about overcoming everyday fears, growing pains and facing yourself as well as the world, plus its about a horse..how could you go wrong :) Great read for any ...

Secret Hiding Places: (For Clever Kids)45 reviews
Mark Shulman

Sterling, 2001

Really good. REALLY really good.
I have a sister who can't keep her hands off my things. I have really tried hard to be nice but my parents think I'm picking on her if I complain because she is smaller. So when I saw this in the book store I figured it had to be for me. I am so glad I found this book. It is filled with great ideas about hiding what you own and about making great projects too. You will be able to turn any little ...

Look-Alike Book
My Grandson had checked out a couple of the Look-Alike books from the Library. He really liked them, so I decided to get him one for his 5TH birthday. He really enjoys finding the look alike objects in the pictures, and spends a long time for a five year old doing so.

Pooh's Little Instruction Book: 2 (Action Packs)6 reviews
A. A. Milne

Dutton Juvenile, 1995

The simple things in life
I thought that this book was adorable and very sweet. It's perfect for all ages and it makes you notice the simple things in life and that sometimes people make things more complicated than they need to be. Winnie the Pooh definetly has the best advice on how to live a wonderful life and realize what is really important - friendship.

Cul-de-sac Kids Pack, vols. 712 (Cul-de-sac Kids)7 reviews
Beverly Lewis

Bethany House, 1997

The Culdesac Kids series is great for young readers.
I bought the book for my neice who is 8 years old and just finished 2nd grade. She didn't really like to read before. She didn't find books that were her reading level or were scary or boring. She loved the characters, the stories, and the reading level (8-12 yrs) helped her to improve her reading. She loves to read it before bed every night. Books 1-6 are about a group of kids who develop ...

39 Progressive Solos For Classical Guitar - Book 2 - Book/Cassetts Pack (Thirty-Nine Progressive Solos for ...8 reviews
Ben Bolt

Cherry Lane Music, 1999

The Tite should be 27 progressive solos for Classical Guitar
I enjoyed this book and the CD. It's good. However I feel short-changed because it's only 27 progressive solos and not 39. You have to get the remaining 12 solos in Book II. Dear Mr Ben Bolt, it would be great if you or your publisher did not misguide buyers with such a title. I still give it a 5 star rating regardless....

Alton Brown

Harry N. Abrams, Inc., 2006

AB roxxors
Geek that he is, I thought it would be appropriate to title this review "AB roxxors." I own these books but I did not purchase them in this bundle. ...More Food is AB's baking book. If you've never baked before, this is a very important manual. It's a manual, not a cookbook. Between its covers you will find everything a beginning baker needs to know to produce great results every time. It also ...

The Unbelievable Bubble Book8 reviews
John Cassidy, David Stein

Klutz Press, 1987

Bubbling with enthusiasm!
I'm over 50 years old and, while visiting my Mother, I started playing with some bubble making toys she had left out for the kids. Bored, I started making some make-shift bubble wands out of coat hangers to see how big a bubble I could make. It was a lot of fun but, because of the bubble solution, I was limited to bubbles of about a foot in diameter. I went on line to try and search out ...

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Hal Leonard Corporation, 2006

Stadium Arcadium Bass Sheet Music
This is a great book! I've been playing bass for 3 years now and this is a really fun way to spend my free time. The cds are also a great addition; they really help out a lot if Flea's bass licks throw you for a loop. It's also just fun to play along with the CD's because they threw John in also. Also, if you can't read music, don't worry. Personally I'm a fan of reading actual music for ...

Pop Up!: A Manual of Paper Mechanisms7 reviews
Duncan Birminham

Tarquin, 1999

One of the best!
For anyone interested in making pop-ups, this book should be on their work table. What I especially like about it is, the many simple sketches of the pieces and how they are applied particularly in the more complex figures, where clarity is needed and often times not as well done in other books on the subject. I have bought more than one to give to friends that work in this area as well. One ...
