I was a teaching assistant at the University of California, Santa Barbara under Dr. Drake and other professors and we used this book for our ancient history courses. I now will be teaching my own course and I am so excited to see that it is still in print. It is a great way to teach ancient history. Dr. Drake is a wonderful teacher and his choice of primary sources provides a terrific overview.
