Kristin Hannah Good As Usual
While basically a "women's Book," this male was very entertained. I have always found Hannah's books to be enjoyable, but this one was especially so.

Still the best
A coworker of mine highly recommended this book to me in the early 1990s when my children were very small, telling me it was the best book she had ever read about kids. I forgot about this and never followed up on her advice until my children started the backtalk phase and the disagreeableness of the preteen years. After lots of unhappy interactions with them, I remembered her advice when ...

Really Good
I loved this book. I thought the main character was relateable, and through the story while he learns, the reader learns with him. The book will keep you laughing (and in my case, crying a bit too).

I found my inner wallflower
This book was recommended to me by an 18 year old girl - I am 34 - so I was skeptical. One day, I found myself at my car dealership waiting on a repair so I decided, why not start reading this book? I couldn't put it down. I am about 30 pages from finishing it and though I can't wait to read it, I am procrastinating because I don't want it to be over. This book is amazing. It's simple yet ...

Must read... and you won't be able to put it down!
This is the best book I've seen about raising boys. My husband and I both have read every single page -- it's the first parenting book we've ever really read together, and we've talked about all of it. My husband felt like he was reading about all the secret struggles he went through as a child too. This is the first book that's made me want to change the way I parent...

Awesome...wait...what about your summer?
I was so excited to read this! Overall I would say that it is a pretty good book. The only thing I didn't like is that the author kept hinting around what happened in the summer before the school year started, since the summer is covered in 5 seperate books that won't come out until later, it kind of annoyed me...other than that awesome!

Excellent Advice!
I found this book extremely helpful! I was constantly arguing with my teenage daughter and things have improved significantly since I read this book. Anthony Wolf offers both comfort and great advice for relating to your child. I found the chapter on conflict especially helpful as it allowed me to understand what goes on in the teen mind! I would recommend this book to anybody with a teenager and ...

Great Information!
I mailed a copy of this book to my 10 year old step son, because he was asking his father questions about the process of becoming a man. I read the book thoroughly. I believe the book is excellent. There are a few points in the book that will make a parent uncomfortable, but it is information a young boy needs to know, and deals with situations he has likely seen on television or in movies. ...

The Outsiders
Have you ever wanted to be in a gang? Well don't join a gang because one day, you might be dead! You never know when someone might shoot you. The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton, is a good book about gangs. It made me realize that being in a gang is not fun and that you can die really quickly. When I was eight years old I used to read lots of books from S.E. Hinton, but when I read The Outsiders, it ...

A delicious series that will definitely give you something to talk about!
The Upper East Side used to be overrun with plastic surgery happy society women, and spoiled tots torturing their high-priced nannies. But times have changed. While these people still occupy a small portion of the sidewalks, they have been pushed aside for a new generation of beautiful people. Teenagers brought up in the lap of luxury, who spend their days buying overpriced La Perla undergarments ...

Invaluable Insight
This is by far the best book I have EVER read regarding my relationship with my two teenagers! One of the most revealing things to hit me was the concept of transitioning from a "Manager" to a "Consultant" in your relationship with your teen...how profoundly helpful. No other book has helped me on so many levels in my relations with my children. I am divorced father and have an ex who didn't ...

It kept me off drugs!
I read this book in the 70s, when I was 14 or 15. (On my old copy, Beatrice Sparks gets no mention). It seemed completely believable as a teenager's diary. Since it was edited, we don't know what was in the original that got cut out. (If you've read the "completed" Anne Frank diary compared to the popular version, you'll see some of the stuff concerning school friends got deleted because it ...

Wow, if you are female this book will take you back in time and make you more compassionate towards your daugher. If you are a dad - you need to read this to realize what your daugher is going through. It is a quick read. I think my daughter apprecaites that I am reading this book. By the way it was suggested by her Dr. that I read it.

Being An Alpha ain't That Great
As Alicia stages her take over to become an alpha, her and her BFF, Massie drift apart and the two find themselves in a raging, war of who has the better hold on their Clique. This book tells an amazing story of what a clique can do to crush you if you get in their way. After this book I was definitely hooked to the Clique series.

Still great stories!
I loved these books as a kid and now my daughter's love the stories too. The illustrations inside are enough to help give the kids a little idea and then they picture the rest inside their heads as we read along! I really do prefer these Ramona stories compared to the Junie B Jones stories. Ramona seems to be alot more wholesome where I do find that Junie B Jones can be quite the rude little girl ...

Raising Strong, Resilient Girls
This book was riveting. From the first chapter, through the painful case studies, to the final solutions the author extended, it was like looking through multipaned windows and mirrors, seeing my sister, my mother, my daughters and my granddaughters, my friends, my students, and myself. Coincidentally, a few months prior to reading this book, I had come across an old photo of myself while ...
