Hope And Healing: A Caregiver's Guide to Helping Young Children Affected by Trauma (The Zero to Three Early Care Library
Very good book with much insight into the effects trauma has on small children. I would reccomend this book highly. However, I do wish it had more info regarding exactly what to tell or how to explain death to a toddler whom's mother just died. I'm not sure there is a way to do this, as I am still searching for the answer to this question.

Your Cleft-Affected Child: The Complete Book of Information, Resources, and Hope2 reviews
Carrie T. Gruman-Trinkner

Hunter House, 2001

A GREAT BOOK
I am an older sibling of a child with a cleft and I found this book to be helpful in so many ways when re-searching what was going to be done to my baby brother. It used enough technical terms to explain what was going on, but it also explained things as well. I know that my mother would often read the chapter called Aiden; One child's story when she needed to find hope for her own son. I ...

The ADHD Affected Athlete2 reviews
Michael E. Stabeno

Trafford Publishing, 2007

A Book for Coaches and Parents
This book is an easy and enjoyable read; at times you even find yourself smiling at the examples Michael Stabeno uses to illustrate his points. The book is comprehensive as it discusses what ADHD is, common misconceptions of ADHD, communication and coaching strategies, the implications of medication, and parenting tips for the athlete. I appreciated the discussion on perceiving common behavior ...
