Super Book, as are all Dr. Seuss books! Book was new and as described. Fast shipping...rec'd in 4 days. It would be nice though if Amazon didn't set the shipping rates so the sellers could use media mail for their books to make it cheaper for the purchaser! I can honestly say that if it weren't for this book I probably would not have passed my CISSP exam. Unlike other prep-guides, Shon engages the reader and keeps their attention. Also, this book doesn't read like a "read this book and pass an exam" book. It reads like a security book which just so happens to teach you the contents of the CISSP CBK. I've had limited exposure to Access before reading this book, and I found it fantastic for filling in the blanks in my knowledge. Access is complicated enough that, for true beginners, it would probably be more helpful to get a book that comes with a CD of examples and walk-throughs. I just needed the A+ certification ASAP. I took 220-601 (Essentials) and 220-602 (IT Technician) and the book was a good help. My score was 710 and 800, just good enough to be certified. I got this book really to learn more about Excel and Access, but I ended up reading the whole thing. I find it works best if you have the programs open and you can practice doing the things the author mentions in the book.
