Actual EXPLANATIONS on how whole grains cook!
When I finished reading In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto , I was determined to eat whole grains baked without high-fructose corn syrup. My first try at whole wheat bread (whole wheat flour, yeast, salt, oil, water) was horrid -- dry, heavy, bitter -- and I almost gave up. Enter the King Arthur FLour Whole Grain Baking book. And it saved me! This cookbook is unique in that it explains ...

This Cookbook Reeks with Honesty
The Arthur Avenue Cookbook is beautifully put together in every way. The recipes, the photographs, the storyline and the quality of the book itself are absolutely first-rate. The people in this book are completely genuine - there is an honesty about their lives and their livelihoods that jumps from the pages. There are no pretenses here: the recipes do not require a lot of complex sauces or ...

Can't Wait for Book #6
I loved this series since the first installment. It's true that this book doesn't have the "heat" of some of the previous books. Here we see Riley starting to develop more as a character who isn't a complete prisoner to her hormones. Hopefully, Riley will have someone new come into her life. Quinn has his own issues, and can't accept her for herself. As for breaking off her relationship with ...

Brings back wonderful memories
From the moment I received this cookbook, it started to bring back memories of the 50's and 60's when families spent the holiday's together. All the recipes were from a different time, foods that you don't get today. A lot of the recipes were buried with my grandmother and aunts. I found them again in this book, same recipes, just modernized a little. Looking at them I pictured the recipes being ...

Excellent job of connecting this book with books 1 and 2. At least some questions get answered here. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Kissing Sin
Nothing like a very "gifted" stallion to take Riley where she needs to go :-) No sense sticking to the original werewolf/vampire love story. And a big surprise is involved in book 2.

Great read
This series is great and this book just adds to it. i love how Quinn is back in the picture, I think he and her will make a great couple if they ever fully get serious. And finally upping Lianders and Rhoans relationship has finally come!!! Its not alot but hey its something. This was a great add on to the series, i couldn't put it down. So many things going on there was never a dull moment.

Wonderful addition to any cookbook library
My copy was an early Christmas present which arrived in plenty of time for holiday baking. There are lots of tempting cookie recipes with numerous options...many are very easy to follow. The book is also an excellent source of baking information. Definitely a great compendium. One of the things that I noticed about the recipes is that the amount of sodium (salt, baking powder, baking soda) ...

Finally, A Man Booker Prize Finalist living up to its billing...
The novel wades back and forth between alternating lives of Arthur and George. Arthur, a Scot, was a promising student and athlete with consider wit, charm and appeal. George, on the other hand, was born poor, the father of a Parsee Indian, has terrible eyesight, is unpopular, and has far less promise. Arthur's influence and power expands as he matures and he moves within the upper class. ...

Amazing story!
King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table is the best book i`ve ever read! Right when you`re done you`ll hear swords banging together in your head! It`s from King Arthur being crowned king all the way to saving Camelot and the last battle of the land of Logres. I highly recommend it.

Belongs on the coffee table
Unless one is a scholar, those under 60 will not find this book of great interest. For someone my age (71) who's also a political junky with still-vivid memories of the 1960s forward, this book is an artistic and intellectual treasure. The editing--and there was obvious a lot of editing--results in jewels on virtually every page. Schlesinger undresses everyone of consequence he ever worked with, ...

A TALE OF TWO GIANTS
Writing a dual biography of two political giants is not an easy task. One is reminded about the outstanding joint biography written many years ago by Lord Bullock on Hitler and Stalin. In this book, two themes run concurrently:the British Empire's fin-de-siecle and the rise of India as an independent nation.Although of different backgrounds, both political giants-Churchill and Ghandi- seem to have ...

This book is very well written. I have always done well in math classes. I never really enjoyed mathematics though. This book makes what seems impossible possible. If you ever wanted to be able to square a number like 72 in your head in seconds this is the book for you.
