Best modern day love story ever!
I've been reading P&P sequels for a few years now and finally have come across one of the most beautifully written one with this book. I loved it, very sexy, hot and steamy match with these two character's loved the exchange between the two. I loved the modern day version to it. Great book, I couldn't put it down!

Impulse & Initiative: What if Mr. Darcy had set out to win Elizabeth's heart? (Pride & Prejudice Variation)7 reviews
Abigail Reynolds

Sourcebooks Landmark, 2008

One of the best Pride and Prejudice variations
Abigail Reynolds is one of the best Character authors to undertake the complex characters of Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. She astutely captures the essence of their characters while putting them in interesting alternate endings for the original story line. WELL DONE! Buy this book!

Without Reserve: A Pride & Prejudice Variation28 reviews
Abigail Reynolds

Intertidal Press, 2007

Ms. Reynolds is a master storyteller...
I've read and own all of this author's work and highly recommend them. I've followed Mr. Reynold's career when she wrote and posted on her own site, Austen Interlude. To me, she brought Darcy and Elizabeth to life, much like Margaret Mitchel did Rhett and Scarlett. I love the passionate nature she gives her character...it's both sensual and intense. Abby, if you read this, know that I am hooked ...

The Last Man in the World (The Pemberley Variations)

Intertidal Press, 2007

"I had not known you a month before I felt that you were the last man in the world whom I could ever be prevailed on to marry." Elizabeth Bennet's furious response to Mr. Darcy's marriage proposal in Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice has resonated for generations of readers. But what if she never had a chance to say it? Would she learn to recognize Mr. Darcy's admirable qualities on her own? The Last Man in the World follows Elizabeth and Darcy as ...

By Force of Instinct: A Pride & Prejudice Variation22 reviews
Abigail Reynolds

Sourcebooks, Inc., 2008

A great, fun read!
I'm a P&P addict! So of course, the characters of Darcy and Elizabeth are "sacred" to me. But I really, really liked this book! It's kind of like Jane Austen meets Sandra Brown, Jenny Crusie, and Linda Howard. Not as long and not quite as "spicey hot" as Berdoll's first book--although it is definitely hot (but believable) in places. It bogs down just a little in so very many misunderstandings ...

Impulse & Initiative: A Pride & Prejudice Variation24 reviews
Abigail Reynolds

Intertidal Press, 2007

another yummy alternative
This is another yummy variation to the P & P story. Darcy decides after months of pining for Elizabeth to actually seek her out and court her. His attempts to woo her are presented in a genuine manner, and the use of language quite similar to Austen's own provides for an unexpected treat. The only part I am a bit disappointed in is the deflowering. I Expect Miss Austen would have been ...

Delightful!
From Lambton to Longbourn is a delightful read for fans of Pride & Prejudice & Jane Austen It has a satisfying plot stemming from an interesting twist on the original Pride & Prejudice, this well written tale is perfect for lazy Sundays. The Last Man in the World: A Pride & Prejudice Variation28 reviews
Abigail Reynolds

Intertidal Press, 2007

I'm shocked! I finished this book and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I'll keep this short and sweet. I have a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from a very reputable university (not-for-profit, over a century old). When I entered the graduate school there, the chairman of the department was a Jane Austen scholar. I have read and reread all of Austen's novels. I've watched ALL the movie versions and berated them for their failings. I am convinced that Jane ...
