Adam Gamble

Our World of Books, 2006

So fun to read!
I just moved from San Diego and wanted to get this for my niece to be reminded of all the wonderful things there are to see and do in my old stomping grounds. There are great illustrations and it really hits all the highlights. Great little book!

Adam Gamble

Our World of Books, 2007

More Than Just Coastal Maine
A beautiful picture book for our two grandaughters. We live on an inland lake in woodsy, central Maine and this gives them a realistic memory stimulator for both their lake visits and their trips to the coast.

Our World of Books, 2007

Excellent bed time book
I have enjoyed this entire "Good Night Our World Series" with our son for almost 2 years now. Any child 1 1/2 years or older will love these books. I would go as old as 7 years for the reader, depending on your child. I highly recommend this particular book, Good Night Nantucket, for anyone who has lived or visited this special island. I especially recommend it if you will be visiting Nantucket ...

Great kid's book!
We have more books for our 2-year-old daughter than we know what to do with, but this one is her favorite and ours too. Beautifully illustrated, very well-written. A must-have for any young child that's ever spent time at the beach.

Good Night Atlanta (Good Night Our World series)2 reviews
Adam Gamble

Our World of Books, 2007

Great Souvenir to remember a trip to Atlanta
Towards the begining of this year we took our now 2 year old daughter down to Atlanta and we hit some of the parks, the zoo and the aquarium. We ended up picking this book as well since we have a bunch of the other books in the series and our daughter absolutely loves it, she loves to point and say she had been to those places as well as naming the animals she sees. It will be a great way for ...

Good Night Hawaii (Good Night Our World series)1 review
Adam Gamble

Our World of Books, 2007

Maika'i
This is a great book! My daughter was born there and we wanted to have something for her to learn about the culture. We also have Good Night Boston. The pictures are beautiful and information is accurate. We have to read this book everynight before bed. There are a lot of little nuances that we are able to fill in for her to really maximize her learning and understanding of Hawaii. For example, ...

Good Night America (Good Night Our World series)4 reviews
Adam Gamble

Our World of Books, 2006

Love, love, love this book
This book is incredibly adorable. I love reading it, and my 21-month old son loves hearing it. Well, not so much anymore...he made me read it over and over again, probably a hundred times in 3 weeks, and now he has it memorized and no longer wants to read it. But he can talk about the Statue of Liberty, can pick out the Washington Monument and U.S. Captiol, and can tell you who lives in the White ...

Coloring Cape Cod: Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket1 review

On Cape Publications, 2001

Wonderful Images from Cape Cod's Rich Heritage
Coloring Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket by James Owens is a delightful book. I have given many copies as gifts to both young and old, as the artwork is superb and of a much higher quality than your average coloring book. It also presents a fun way to learn about Cape Cod history by including text with pictures such as: Thornton Burgess, The Aquinnah Cliffs and The Judah Baker Windmill. I ...

Our World of Books, 2007

2 year old loves this book!
We have been reading my daughter this book to her for over a year now and it is one of her favorites, she still never gets enough of it and what we love is this book is nice and short (those nights when they are really tired and you need to quickly get through 1 book) but with so much going on the pages we can even stretch it out - where are the flowers, where are the birds, who's in the boat, ...

This delightful little book is an excellent teaching tool for introducing young readers to the wonderful city of San Francisco, the Gem of the West Coast. Adam Gamble

Our World of Books, 2007

Great Post zoo book
Does your kid like animals or have they been to the zoo? If so this is the book to read to your kids, there are so many different animals in this book and helps our daughter identify each one. We love that it shows so many of the animals she has seen at the zoo and it makes her want to go that much more often. This, like other books in the series is a book that can be short (just read the ...

Cute and educational
My 21 month olds enjoy pointing at the various animals and objects on each page. Later on, I'm quite sure they will be more interested in the names of the different places in Chicago. Good book to add to your collection.

Good Night Philadelphia (Good Night Our World series)5 reviews
Adam Gamble

Our World of Books, 2006

A huge favorite
I bought this book for my niece at the Penn bookstore to commemorate my return to Philadelphia. I thought it was great (like a fun little tour through the city) but was even more impressed when my brother told me it is the only book he likes reading to my niece. That's a great endorsement! I got her the San Diego book for Christmas and am awaiting the NJ one. I love them!

A Public Betrayed: An Inside Look at Japanese Media Atrocities and Their Warnings to the West6 reviews
Adam Gamble, Takesato Watanabe

Regnery Publishing, Inc., 2004

A Public Betrayed
This book is full of information that American readers will not have heard before, but which are disturbingly relevant to US media culture. It argues the Japanese media is characterized by lax training, almost non-existent journalistic standards, clubby media elites "On Bended Knee" before the Japanese government reporting the government line uncritically, balanced by a battalion of odd weekly ...
