A book EVERY Christian MUST read for themselves !!!
Every Christian needs to read this book. I'm serious ! It is not just some half-truth/half-lies sensationalism. There are great pictures to go along as Jordan Maxwell explains so much about Christianity and a picture is really 'worth a thousand words'. This book proves that just about everything in Christianity actually came from Egypt and other ancient cultures and religions. The Hebrews ...
Continuity and Discontinuity: Perspectives on the Relationship Between the Old and New Testaments

One of the BEST books on the topic
This book has to hit the top of the list when it comes to the topic of continuity and discontinuity between the OT and NT. The authors come from predominantly two theological backgrounds: Reformed (covenant) or dispensational (though D. Moo and W. Kaiser who side on the discontinuity side are not dispensationalists themselves). There are in total 7 parts to the book. Section 1 deals with ...

Read This Book ...It Is Excellent!
As someone who has been a CIO four times, served as an interim CIO too many time to count, wrote "CIO Wisdom" and will be coming out with "CIO Perspectives", I would like to fully endorse "CIO Best Practices". Somewhere in the book it states "all CIOs live in a competitive world and excellent customer relationship management has become a competitive advantage" This book accomplished ...

Excellent Bible History Reference Tool
Every Christian library needs good pictorial reference works explaining Bible geography and history. This volume is a large-size hardback with remarkable color illustrations and photographs. The presentation is traced chronologically through the Bible, and is not limited to Palestine, because forty percent of Bible history occurs outside this area. The history begins with creation and travels ...

Great resourse!
This was the text book used in a logic class I took. The book covers truth functions, truth tables, conditional proofs, indirect proofs, predicate logic, truth trees, syllogistic logic, inductive logic, axiomatic systems and a few other lesser used logical systems. Each section is explained clearly and with great attention to detail. As it is a text-book, every chapter ends with several ...

A superb review of changes in marriage in the past 20 years.
Amato, Booth, Johnson, and Rogers have written a thorough, scholarly, and smooth reading book that documents important changes in the state (and nature) of marriages in the U. S. over the past 20 years (particularly, comparing data in 1980 and 2000). Their work covers a wide range of dimensions with particular focus on things like social connection (by couples) with others (friends, family, ...

He gave names to things I'd thought only I beleived
This was required reading for a theology class my (Unity) church offered. I looked at the cartoon on the front and thought I'd bought a joke -- something I would get little out of. Was I mistaken! Dr. Laughlin boils down a bunch of rather obscure concepts into very understandable terms through use of humor, concrete examples, history, scripture, and comparisons to things we all know well in our ...

A Marvellous Book for Programming in the QT Way
I don't major in CS but I have to use C++ and QT for my PhD research. Although I had pretty good general understanding of IT and some experience in web programming, I struggled to teach myself C++ from scratch. I tried a few popular books, but none of them worked very well. As someone said, "the trouble with C++ is there's an awful lot to remember". Those big thick books are often quite easy to ...

excellent introduction to ceramics in archaeology
orton and friends take the reader through all the aspects of the most common archaeological find: the pot sherd. at the end, you will know how to classify any random bit of ceramic you come across. the book is very well written; it's amazing how the rather dry subject comes alive. very much a "practical knowledge" sort of read. every serious dig should have one in their field house.

"The Prose of the Trans-Siberian" poem remains my favorite piece of Cendrars writing but this novel is a close second.
