An Astounding Book!
This book would receive the Pulitzer Prize if more people were aware of the Shakespeare Authorship question and wanted to read the books written about it. Top scholarship!

Stan Lee holds up far better than expected: real american Visionary
I really didn't expect to enjoy these early FF issues as much I did! I loved them! In fact, I had no idea what a visionary brilliant writer Stan Lee was or what he accomplished in the sixties, before I was even born! Nay, I only read the eighties stuff, but I always wanted to read back from the beginning. Well, these omnibus editions give you the best way of catching up on the classic runs ...

Great Book
Best. Macro. Book. Ev-arrr! Seriously. American food. Healthy. Delicious. Try cooking the succotash and yams and squash for *real* traditional Thanksgiving sides. Every recipe I have tried in here is fantastic. Except for the Zuni water balls. They stunk. But don't let that stop you. This book rules. Easy to read, mostly easy to make, good for you, and delicious recipes you can add to ...

Larger than Life
Macrobiotics first had its roots in America when Michio and his wife, Avelin came to this country in the 1950's with a vision that was "larger than life". Macro-bio-tics is exactly that. And the Macrobiotic Diet, as described in this book (among the many that exist today) is one that doesn't just center around the do's and don'ts of proper eating. It is a lifestyle; it is a way to think ...

Cole's Art is Simply Remarkable
Fans of Jack Cole's Plastic Man should do themselves a favor and seek this book out. These one-panel gags foreshadow the work Cole would do for Playboy in the 1950's. The line art, is of course, extraordinary but his experiments with ink wash really leap off the page. Cole's gals are breathtaking. As Art Speigelman noted, "Cole's goddesses were estrogen souffles who mesmerized the ineffectual ...

Great Reference Book to Have
Anytime Michio Kushi and Alex Jack team up and talk about macrobiotics and our health, we would do well to listen. Both authors have been at the forefront of the macrobiotic community worldwide, both are pioneers, both are wise beyond their years. The book is sectioned out with reference to common diseases and ailments, and takes a wholistic approach to getting healthy and on the right track to ...

4th issue
This fourth issue of Asimov's long-running magazine has some great stories like "Heretic In A Balloon" by L. Sprague de Camp. Other authors include Asimov himself, F.M. Busby, Randall Garrett, and Barry Malzberg. This magazine was launched the same year Star Wars was released, and this is the first issue to mention the classic film, as it's reviewed by Charles N. Brown, with 3 black & white ...

This is Awesome!
I was really happy to get this book. I was pleasantly surprised at how fat it was (and is)! So many recipes...just pages and pages. Unfortunately, there's no pictures to accompany them (bummer), but it makes up for it in content. Excellent recipes. This is exactly the cookbook I was looking for -- I wanted simple, easy-to-prepare, "clean" meal ideas. I have been using (and loving) Tosca Reno's ...

Stan Lee and Jack Kirby finish their original X-Men run
It is really interesting to see how much the X-Men have changed over the years. True, the Avengers quickly replaced all of their major members, but nobody ever really leaves the Avengers (except the Hulk), so Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America make it back for the parties and such. But Angel, Beast and Iceman really have been long gone, and the Uncanny X-Men gave way to the All-New ...

Powerful, gripping tales of nature and survival
I have to admit that I have not really given Jack London his proper due up to now. Perhaps it is because I don't by my nature like outdoor adventure type stories, or perhaps it is because I associate White Fang and "To Build a Fire" with my youth. The fact is that Jack London is a tremendously talented writer. His understanding of the basics of life matches his great knowledge of the ...

"Cancer." This dread diagnosis is now heard by one out of two men and one out of three women. All these present our bodies with conditions they can't ...

This Vegas guide is worth the money
Of course, get a 2010 version! I have no complaints about this guide. The descriptions of things to do in Vegas as well as the hotel rates are pretty much as printed. What really makes this guide a bargain is all the coupons in the back. You get back all the money spent on this guide and then some. I think I saved around $100 on restaurants and car rental using these.

An Idea Whose Time Has Come
Hello potential Amazon customer. If you've read this far you already know what the book you're contemplating forking over your hard-earned dough is about. It's a coffee table book, right? About a graffiti artist, yes? That will either appeal to you on those merits or it won't. But there's another view, one you might not have thought of and that is what this book represents to ufology (the ...

Great book, but...
This book was very informative about the potential dangers of GM foods, and why we need more testing before we release these organism into the environment unchecked. As the author states, there is no way to recall GMO's. I found it somewhat difficult to read the book with all the typing and grammar errors. This book would have been more credible had the author spent more time editting. Overall, I ...

A classic "must read" for fans of the shooting sports.
I grew up reading Jack O'Connor's articles and books, and on a whim happened to find this one. He and some of the most authoritative gun writers of the late '70's collaborated to cover various aspects of shooting as it existed then. What is most intriguing is that many of their opinions are just as valid now as they were then. Jeff Cooper writes about handguns, O'Connor covers shotgunning and ...
