Love the book and character
I had gotten the first Maggie O'Dell book as a gift and did not read it for a while - usually I read King and Patterson. When I did get around to it - I loved it - love the character, the writing!! I have since read every book and I am hooked!!

Maggie O'Dell is fascinating FBI Special Agent with experience in forensics and is a Profiler of serial killers. She is involved not only professionally but personally which makes this a riveting and fast paced story. Difficut to put down. Be prepared for sleepless nights as you try to keep up with the fast pace of events.

Great Book Series
I really enjoyed reading the O'Dell series by Alex Kava. I can't wait until A Necessary Evil comes out. This is a great book, all of them are great reads. If you do read them make sure you read them in order: A Perfect Evil, Split Second, Soul Catcher, At The Stroke of Madness, and coming in February 2006 A Necessary Evil. These are page turning books that you just can't get tired of reading. ...

Hooked
My husband started me on Alex Kava books. I have been hooked ever since. I'm always reading the back few pages for her next book/s. I have been engrossed with the Maggie Odell series. She reminds me so much of myself, it's scary.

Alex Kava's WHITEWASH
This is a little different from the other Alex Kava books I've read & enjoyed. It's almost a little too close to the truth at times, rather than straight fiction!!
It's a little slow going, getting really absorbed in the story, but once you remember that this is a new set of characters, the story itself takes hold and Alex Kava has done it again!!!

Not So Perfect
Alex Kava writes a strong, church related mystery with Maggie O'Dell being the lynchpin that holds the whole story together.
The only element that stresses credulity is Kava's sexual innuendoes between Maggie and Nick( each brush is stunning, each
accidental touch electric and hinting of dirty, dirty thoughts.)
And she slips these in every chapter the two share.
Ignore these silly bumps in ...

Not bad
This is the first Alex Kava book I have read. It was recommended by a sales person at a local mystery book store. I thought it was a good book but it took too long to get interesting. The majority of the book was set up and it only really got good and became a page turner in the last 70 pages. A long time to wait for the good stuff. I was on my toes as to whodunnit though and that I enjoyed.
