Great Book
This is a great book. It worked great for me renewing my ACLS certification. The cards and CD-ROM inside were excellent. The cards are great to carry with you while you are working and you are allowed to take the cards with you while taking your exam and mega-code!

Great recipes, good design, a decent read
I love to cook, but most of my kitchen staples are items dripping with unhealthiness-excess fat, cholesterol, and calories. Trying to turn a new leaf in 2008, I was looking for a cookbook that had lots of healthy meals that I could quickly and easily make for a weeknight dinner. And, they had to taste good. Meals in Minutes fits the bill perfectly. After having this cookbook for a week, I've ...

Great for beginning cooks
I never was much of a cook, but after embarking on a rigorous fitness program, I was highly encouraged by my personal trainer to cook my own meals. By cooking myself, I would know exactly what I was eating. Although I don't have a heart problem (that I know about, anyway), I saw this cookbook when I was visiting someone in the hospital and noted that it was extensive and varied. It also listed ...

Great Plan, Recipes, and Helpful Information
I just started this and so far its going great, had to do a lot of shopping but the 1600 calorie plan is pretty easy for me to follow. I had to buy a bunch of stuff to follow the diet plan but in the end the money I save from not eating out everyday will be worth it. Since it allows snacks between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner it helps me stay on and keeps the hunger pains away.

Great book and it might save my life!
I have found the recipes in this book to be better than what I expected. I feel like I have more energy just after a few days of being on a low cholesterol diet and if I physically feel a difference that soon, then my cholesterol must be dropping. I must worn you that if you don't like to cook, then this isn't the book for you. The recipes in here require a lot of fresh foods and time to ...

Delicious and recipes have great nutritional stats
Every recipe I have made from this book has been delicious! I was surprised! And the recipes use common ingredients. Recipes are easy to assemble and the directions make sense. If only it had pictures! I think the revised editions have more pics. Great cookbook and I definitely recommend it for anyone concerned about improving their health.

My new "cooking bible"!
I LOVE to cook and have always done a lot of Tex-Mex, Mediterranean, Indian, Asian, etc. Thing is, now I'm caring for my elderly parents and my dad was placed on a 2g sodium diet *gah!* so I needed to make a little adjustment. I cook from One Dish Meals almost every day and make up my weekly shopping list from it. The recipes are so fast and easy, and even though I only have 2g of sodium ...

I am keeping this one for myself. Such a great informative book. I will be getting another as a gift for my aging mother. If you are not a medical professional you may want this book.

Except for the lack of pictures.....
this is an excellent cookbook. A lot of few ingredient recipes, and lots of recipes that don't call for exotic ingredients. I hate finding a good recipe and then there's that one ingredient that I don't have on hand, or worse yet, one that I have to go to a gourmet store to find. None of that in this book!

Truly Excellent Cookbook!
I am extremely pleased with many of the recipes in this cookbook. The cookbook is broken down into appetizers, snacks, and beverages, soups, salads, seafood, poultry, meats, vegetarian entrees, vegetables and side dishes, breads and breakfast dishes, and my favorite...desserts! Every recipe is for 4 servings, but thankfully, the book tells you what is considered 1 serving. 4 servings is FINE ...

Easy to follow and understand for the NRP novice
Studying for my renewal for NRP proved to be as easy as the initial class with the cd-rom. I have extremely limited contact with this pt. population, but I am able to easily recall the information attained through this text/multimedia. Although nothing substitutes actual "hands-on," instruction or experience, this will provide a valuable asset for the ACLS/PALS impaired.

AHA HS First Aid/CPR/AED
This is an excellent course book for teaching/learning community level (heartsaver level), citizen/bystander CPR/AED and First Aid. Useful for people involved with youth groups, civic groups, those who may be acting like "first responders" etc. Very well written, easy to read, understand and learn from. Main points are reinforced with multiple scenarios and "bullet points". A great resource ...
