A family favorite
My 3 1/2 and 6 year old both love this book. As a story book, the stories are as universal as they are rich and evocative, the illustrations are beautiful and compelling for the kids. The pictures of the children themselves are too small for my 46-year-old eyes. This awesome book shows children around the world and what their everyday life is like (homes, schools, families, pets, friends, churches, food). Gorgeous full-color large photos
I love this book and I use it all the time to teach children about other faiths and cultures. The beautiful, realistic photos make it great for sharing. When I am not using it, it makes a nice coffee table book. My only criticism is that it always makes me want to research more (not a lot of text, but the photos and illustrations make it worth having).
