Irish Linen: A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel (Nuala Anne McGrail Novels) 12 reviews Andrew M. Greeley
Forge Books, 2008
Another Great Andrew Greeley book Andrew Greeley is one of my favorite authors. His quirky characters live for me and Nuala Anne McGrail and her Dermitt and their children are some of my favorites. I have a real problem putting them down. I find the conbination of historical mysteries woven around a "contemporary" one fascinating. Please Father Greeley may I have some more.

Jesus: A Meditation on His Stories and His Relationships with Women 9 reviews Andrew M. Greeley
Forge Books, 2008
Jesus: A Meditation on His Stories and His Relationships With Women Perfect! A wonderfully written book for reflection and affirmation for all women of any faith. It doesn't matter that most established churches are slow to recognize the importance of women and their roles in the church - What does matter is that Jesus loves us and appreciates our gifts and talents and has raised us high. He is the Saviour of us all.

Hooray for the Irish and Father Greeley For those of you familiar with the Nuala Ann McGrail novels, this installment in the series is top notch. If you have never read any of the "Irish _____" series, don't hesitate to give this a read. It reads very quickly as you can not put it down. The Archbishop in Andalusia: A Blackie Ryan Novel (Bishop Blackie Ryan) Andrew M. Greeley
Forge Books, 2008
Taking leave of his usual Chicago haunts, Archbishop John Blackwood Ryan travels to the south of Spain in this latest mystery by bestselling author Andrew M. Greeley. Ostensibly “Blackie” is in the historic city of Seville to attend a conference on American philosophy, but a far more critical assignment also requires his attention. The local cardinal has summoned the wily archbishop to Spain in hopes that Blackie can avert a murder ...

Emerald Magic: Great Tales of Irish Fantasy 5 reviews
Tor Books, 2004
A great group of stories This wonderful book is a collection of some fifteen stories of Irish magic. The authors of the stories are all masters of the writing profession - Tanith Lee, Ray Bradbury, Fred Saberhagen, Morgan Llywelyn, and others. The book is arranged into two groups: The Little People, and Literary Fantastics, but don't imagine that it is quite that clear. The stories all range in setting from the ancient ...

The Robe 77 reviews Lloyd C. Douglas
Mariner Books, 1999
The best of the best! I suppose one must be careful about how one throws out the phrase, "This is the best book I have ever read". Memories can be short and values change. And of course there is always the matter of someone with a vein throbbing in the forehead of their beet red face, pointing a quivering finger at you and screaming, "What about the Bible!?". And then the matter of categorization (I used to own a ...

Clean Up The Mess It is with great expectation when a new Blackie Ryan mystery arrives to join my must read pile. Father Andrew M. Magic Cup -OSI 5 reviews Andrew M. Greeley
Not Avail, 1985
Love this Book I bought this when it was out the first time around and read it to shreds (literally, the book fell apart). I'm not usually a fan of this genre, but this one did it for me.
I saw it in the store today, picked it up, and I know I'll have it read again by the end of the night.
Well written, fun characters, written just like the old Andrew Greeley novels.
Thanks for re-releasing it!

Cardinal Sins 8 reviews Andrew M. Greeley
Grand Central Publishing, 1985
I've read this book 3 or 4 times over the years and I also have an audio version. It is a great story about love, Gods love for us and our struggle to return it and to love one another. Each time I read it or listen to it I discover something more about the theme, the characters and myself.

The Bishop Goes to the University: A Bishop Blackie Ryan Novel (Bishop Blackie Ryan) 10 reviews Andrew M. Greeley
Forge Books, 2004
It's time for Father Greeley to stop coasting Father Andrew Greeley once had a powerful impact on pubishing with his saucy novels. In recent years that has declined somewhat. However, he continues to write and his body of work expands yearly. This book shows the ongoing adventures of "Blackie" Ryan, a Priest/Detective who is the star of the mystery novels written by Father Andrew Greeley. "Blackie" actually sprang from Father Greeley's ...

Irish Stew!: A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel (Nuala Anne McGrail Novels) 6 reviews Andrew M. Greeley
Forge Books, 2003
Not ashamed to admit I love this series... If you are going to read any of the "Nuala and Dermot" books, start with the first one and do them in order. If you hate the first, it's OK to quit. I like them all, but then I like nearly 90 percent of Fr. Greeley's output, and over the decades I've probably read about 90 percent of his total. I am only an eighth Irish, have only been to the airport in Chicago, and no longer consider myself ...

Irish Gold: A Nuala Anne McGrail Novel (Nuala Anne McGrail Novels) 24 reviews Andrew M. Greeley

GREAT story! And not too sensual. Sure, there's the longing that goes with courtship, but we are spared the intimate details. If you love a good story, but prefer not to read about throbbing body parts, read this book. If you think good novels have to have sex, then keep looking cuz the details in this book are left to the reader's imagination. This is a nice mystery, lovable characters, and a great story ...

In Spite of short Shrift Reviews it's Super Good Reading Even if his first 3, Nuala Anne, Irish Gold Books were more than exceptional; This is an engrossing story combining some of the good Father Greely's best characters. And surely isn't his the Irish gift of spinning a wondrous story when given the best cast of characters. After Dermot, his precious 3 childre his arwesome fey bewitching Lady Nuala Anne, who not only is sexy but can sing along with ...
