I'm only seven And it is great
I just learned to read in first grade. The pictures were so great that I really wanted to read it. I started and finished in one day. I don't like reading that much, but I don't mind reading when it is something cool like snakes! ...

Where Do Babies Come From?3 reviews
DK Publishing, Angela Royston

DK CHILDREN, 2001

good book for a simple introduction to reproduction
This is a good book for a very beginning introduction to reproduction for young children. It will definitely need to be supplemented with more detailed text and diagrams, but it's an easy place to start when you don't want to go into too much detail for a first talk. It starts out with bees and plants and moves to ducks, cats, and then humans. It uses the terms "sperm" and "eggs" but does not ...

Scholastic First Encyclopedia: A First Atlas (Scholastic First Encyclopedia)1 review
Sue Hook, Angela Royston

Scholastic Reference, 2000

A good young reader book
This was a good book with lots of color photos, drawings and maps. I think my children were a bit young for it (5&3)but they enjoyed the sections on what animals and plants can be found in the different regions.

Frog (Life Cycle of a)2 reviews
Angela Royston

Heinemann, 1999

Grow frog, grow!
The see how they grow series is yet another quality series put out by Dorling Kindersley (aka DK). Purchase them all if you can! Inspite of what the Horn Book review says, I found the presentation to be attractive and appropriate for younger children. The last two pages are a pictorial summary of how the frog grew from egg to tadpole to one year-old frog.

Down Syndrome (Heinemann First Library)1 review
Angela Royston

Heinemann Library, 2005

good for primary grade classmates
I bought this book for my daughter's kindergarten class. Nice simple explanations of kids learning but slower, maybe needing help in class or other aids. Nice pictures of typical not just extra cute kids with DS and some adults too. Wish it ended with someone in a real job not a workshop.
