Educational Psychology (10th Edition)1 review

Lousy Textbook
I just finished a semester of Ed. Psych. with this textbook. It is like every other textbook you've probably been forced to buy - bloated, overpriced, and contains 10x as much information as your course will ever be able to cover. If you have a choice, look elsewhere.

well written textbook!
This textbook is clear, concise and written in a way that uses many different thinking patterns to process the information. That has definitely kept me from getting bored while reading it. I often find that I've read more than I'd planned for a given allotment of time. I give this text high recommendations!

Filled with practicality
Although I did not use the 10th edition due that it was delivered to a neighbor, I borrowed a 9th edition that is similar. It was an excellent resource for teaching. It has practical guidelines for class prep, updated guidelines for students with disabilities and much much more. I highly recommend this book for teachers of all levels. You may not be taking this class; Educational Psychology, ...

A Fine Introduction to the Field
Contrary to some of the other reviews on this page, I found the book to be a helpful and very readable itroduction to the field of educational psychology. No, it is not a definitive and cutting edge expert treatise, but that is not its purpose. It is introducing first year students to the major theories and ideas that have historically shaped educational psychology, and it does so very ...

Educational Psychology, 9/e, Active Learning Edition1 review
Anita E. Woolfolk-Hoy

Allyn & Bacon, 2004

Learning Made Easy
I thoroughly enjoyed this textbook. It broke the material into manageable content areas that were presented in a manner that made the reading assignments enjoyable. The text is challenging, well organized and very informative. This book could also serve as a good study guide for individuals entering the teaching profession from other career fields.

Needed for a class
This book was out of stock at my college bookstore. I ordered it on Amazon and received it two days later... just in time to study for a quiz. Aside from class use, it is a good source of general information about educational psychology. There are plenty of real-world examples and thought-provoking questions that help also.
