This was not a five star book!
The Adventures of Ulysses was a not so great shortened version of the Odyssey. This book was not detailed in describing some of the events such as the making of the object that Ulysses used to gouge Polyphemus' eye out. Some people did not under stand the original poem written by Homer so they read shortened versions such as this one. That is the only reason that I would recomend this book.

I Read this in an evening
I thought this book was very first grade level. There were more pictures than explanations. some of the pictures repeated themselves. Some were incorrect. Some were so dark I couldnt see them. There were mistakes in position lableing. For the price I paid , I was very disappointed. I sent it back for a refund. I wouldnt recommend this book to anyone.

Anthony Heald does a nice job in reading the Omnibus. His voice (and the special effects) are crisp and clear. Heald is good at characterizing the voices so that each character is distinct and easily recognizeable. Anderson's books are great although at times difficult to follow (and a bit spread out over the place), but still enjoyable. I liked/disliked...the jury is still out...the idea ...
