Although this book doesn't look like much, it is well worth the money. We got it as a gift when the baby was born, and I thought for sure it would be a dud. Was I wrong - my baby loves it. He LOVES to lift the flaps, and knows just where the flaps are on each page. I bought this book for my 2 1/2 year old because she has recently become fascinated with the Little Mermaid DVD. I was suprised to find at the end of this version of the story that the little mermaid contemplates killing the prince to save herself, but decides not to.
