Best Christmas Pagaent Ever
I purchased this book simply to replace my original copy, which I loaned out and which was never returned. Reading this book has been a favorite part of my Christmas for many years. While I regret losing my old copy, I am thankful I will now be able to carry on this tradition.

The Best Halloween Ever11 reviews

HarperTrophy, 2006

...a spooktacular tale featuring some tricks, and quite a few treats...
It's a known fact that whenever there's trouble, the six Herdman kids are behind it. Lose a pair of pants? It's the Herdmans. Find your window broken? The Herdmans are behind it. Find yourself painted green? Blame the Herdmans. It never gets old. Or, at least it never got old before. But this year is different. This year, as everyone is preparing for Halloween, and loading up on candy, the Mayor ...

The further adventures of the Herdman family
This follows THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, again told by Beth and focusing on the Herdman clan. Beth is now in the 6th grade at Woodrow Wilson Elementary and of course, once again Imogene Herdman is a classmate. There is a Herdman for each grade, 6 in all, and even though they never do assignments or seem to learn anything they are always promoted to the next grade. Beth's father offers a ...

BREAKING THE CURSE OF RACISM FROM THE ROOT1 review
Barbara Robinson Smith

Xulon Press, 2007

Interesting Perspective on Healing Wounds of Racism
This book is one of the most interesting I've ever read on the subject of racism. Not only does Ms. Smith supply well-rounded historical information on the injustices that African Americans have endured in this country, but she endorses the healing of these wounds from a spiritual perspective. She writes with a lot of personal transparency about her own struggles and experiences. I was left ...

One of the Best Christmas Books Ever
The worst kids in the neighborhood decide to be in the annual Christmas Pageant and turn the weeks leading up to the event into a very funny, read. I've read this book to many classrooms of children over the years and it's guaranteed to make them listen and laugh. ...

Developing Circle Time: Taking Circle Time Much Further (Lucky Duck Books)
Teresa Bliss, George Robinson, ...

Paul Chapman Educational Publishing, 1995

`As a teacher who has specialized in supporting "at risk" students I believe the use of Circle Time can be of help bridge the academic/ral divide. The authors, quite rightly, emphasise the Circle Times in not an advice sympathy or therapy group and they also write "pupils who have a positive view themselves are likely to achieve more, both socially and academically, than those pupils whose self-esteem in low' - Simon Wheeler, Suffolk LEA Pupil ...

My Brother Louis Measures Worms: And Other Louis Stories (Charlotte Zolotow Book)6 reviews
Barbara Robinson

HarperTrophy, 2005

Hilarious! For Adutls, not kids, though!
I don't know why they only market Robinson's books to children! The first time I read one of her stories was in a woman's magazine. We were driving somewhere and my mom read it out loud and we all nearly died laughing. Her stories are for adults who remember what it was like to be young, IMHO. I love them all, though Louis's driving and the unexpected baby are my favorites.

The Best Barbara Robinson CD Audio Collection Ever2 reviews
Barbara Robinson

HarperChildrensAudio, 2005

Great reading!
Elaine Stritch is an excellent choice for this audiobook. I have loved The Best Christmas Pageant Ever since childhood and now am delighted to get this CD for my daughter to enjoy. She loved The Best Halloween Ever that I read to her and I think she will love this collection as well. The Herdmans teach us the true meaning of Christmas! And of life too.
