A Sudden Change of Heart24 reviews
Barbara Taylor Bradford

Dell, 1999

Brilliant!
As a Barbara Taylor Bradford fan, I have long awaited the arrival of her newest book, and when it did come, I realized it was worth the wait! Despite what the some of the other reviews have said, I would encourage anyone to buy it. It is truly a work of art. She show her all-roundeness and creative skills in this book, as the main characters go through almost everything possible! And it is ...

An Excellant Read!
I couldn't put this book down. I thought it was well written, and was very said at the ending only because the story was over with. Barbara made her main character totally believable and I was rooting for him throught out the book. I had no trouble keeping people straight and understood completely why sometimes the main character was called Ned and sometimes Edward. This is a great book and I ...

Remember5 reviews

Ballantine Books, 1992

Exciting . . . I loved it!
Remember was a GREAT book! It is one of those books that you can read over and over again Filled with excitement, suspense (and a litttle romance) Remember narrates the story of Nicky Wells, a war correspondent and reporter. Three years before, her fiance, Charles Devereaux, "commited suicide" and she is still very emotionally scarred. However, after a friendship with Cleeland Dovonan, a ...

Women in His Life2 reviews
Barbara Taylor Bradford

Ballantine Books, 1991

Engrossing Saga
This is a wonderful read, a big saga of a story which spans the years from Nazi Germany of 1939 to 1989, and features a cast of players both interesting and glamorous. Maximilian West is the son of aristocratic, wealthy German Jewish parents, Ursula and Sigmund West, who absolutely idolise the clever, lovable little boy, and make him the centre of their universe. He is cared for by his Nanny, ...

Being Elizabeth10 reviews
Barbara Taylor Bradford

St. Martin's Press, 2008

Queen E. the First moved to the 20th Century
I really enjoyed reading what Elizabeth the First might have been like if she had lived in the 20th. century, and had been head of a corporation instead of the queen of England. The book was over 400 pages, but I finished it in two days, since it was very easy to read. And I was anxious to see how BTB handled certain situations, - the death of Amy, Robert's wife, for instance. I thought it was ...

In Perfect Shape
The books arrived in perfect condition and I like the way the seller wrapped them in brown paper to recycle his paper grocery bags.

Hold the Dream9 reviews
Barbara Taylor Bradford

Bantam, 1986

Couldn't put it down!
I loved this book, but I'm reading them backwards. I started with the last book in the series, this one is the second. However I loved it. Some people may get confused with all the different ties between the families, but the book is a classic among romance novels. Highly recommended for a good albeit long read.

Emma's Secret54 reviews
Barbara Taylor Bradford

Large Print Press, 2005

I Thought the Book Was All-Around Interesting
I read the Woman of Substance and all of the other books following it until this one, which I have finally read. I thought it was done well, contrary to other opinions on here, and stayed engrossed. It begins with Evan Hughes, the grandchild of Glynnis, who is dying at the beginning of the story. She tells Evan to go seek Emma Harte, and that she is the key to the future for her. So curious as ...

Where You Belong56 reviews
Barbara Taylor Bradford

Dell, 2000

I LIKED IT!
Wow...I can't believe how many negative reviews this book is getting. I actually listened to it, and that always makes for a book to be at least a bit more interesting. I can see how people would get bored with it, it is long-winded, but how many authors aren't like that? I think people are just too used to the 21st century non-stop action and/or 3 minute sound bites excitement and drama, ...

Best book I ever read!
I have to say that this is by far the BEST book that I have ever read in my life. If you are debating whether to buy it, don't even think twice about it. Trust me, you won't be sorry. I fell in love with Amber from the very beginning of the book. Her strength and determination to survive is inspiring. I did feel like slapping her when she begged Bruce Carlton for his love. Still, her love for ...

Three Weeks in Paris36 reviews
Barbara Taylor Bradford

Dell, 2002

Glad I checked this book out at the library!
This story centers around 4 women who are were best friends in Sedgwick's School of Art. By invitation they return to Paris 7 years later. These women are so boring and you can't avoid not predicting the outcome of the story. The author spent an enormous amount f inki describing these characters and Paris; its streets, café and even the lamps that I began to think I was reading a tour guide ...
