Alan Stevens, James S. Lowe, ...

Churchill Livingstone, 2002

An excellent primer of pathology
If you agree that seeing is believing, then this book is for you. Microscopic images with accompanying texts illustrate important concepts and salient features of common diseases. The language is clear and facts are presented concisely. I particularly loved the part on general pathology : it contains one of the most beautifully written summaries of the recurring themes in pathology...i.e. cell ...

Purple Hair? I Don't Care2 reviews
Dianne Young

Kane/Miller Book Pub, 1995

Mrs. Ragon is expecting a somewhat strange looking baby .
Rhythmic text and amusing illustrations make this children's story a delight. It increases the young listener's interaction by being predictable and by repeating successive lines. The message is clear that a mother will love her child no matter what it's appearance. "Purple hair? I don't care! I'll love my little baby anyway." Buy this book to share with your 3-6 year old and find out ...

Breathing, Movement, Exploration3 reviews
Barbara Sellers-Young

Applause Books, 2001

Innovative approach
This book was a revelation to me in integrating my physical life with my imagination. The easy to follow explorations guided me from an understanding of my body to new ways of moving and working with a script. I found its focus on breathing and imagery expanded my ability to create a character.

Arcana vol 1 (Arcana (Tokyopop))3 reviews
So-yong Yi, Barbara Randall Kesel

TokyoPop, 2005

One of So-Young Lee's best works
This is the second manga by So-Young Lee i have read. The fisrt one, Model, though, does not compare to Arcana's beauty. Lee's artwork is hauntingly beautiful, in both novels. Though the plot of Arcana is much better than that of Model, and set in a fantastical world, which i personaly prefer. A youhg girl, Inez(spelling?), has the amazing ability to talk to animals. This gift plays a ...
