Morris goes to school, (An I can read book)14 reviews
Bernard Wiseman

Harper & Row, 1970

How can anyone NOT love Morris and give his book a great rating?!
I love Morris the Moose! I'm a very intelligent grownup now and I still had a ball purchasing this absolute favorite from my childhood and reading it again! My grown children probably wondered what I was doing with that recent purchase! It was a loving, comforting trip down memory lane, and I still recommend it for today's youth! Easy read, fun read!

Morris The Moose2 reviews
Bernard Wiseman

Harper & Bros, 1959

Great Book For Learning To Read
This was the first book I learned to read. The words are very easy and not long. Morris will keep you reading to find out what is going to happen next. I totally recommend this book for younger kids and I also recommend it to be one of the first books kids read.

Morris and Boris: Three Stories2 reviews
Bernard Wiseman

Dodd Mead, 1974

Excellent humor for the early grades
How my brother and I enjoyed the Morris and Boris books when we were children. We laughed uproariously. My husband also was a big fan of the series when he was a child. I am happy to see that at least one book of the series is in print.

Morris and Boris1 review
Bernard Wiseman

Putnam Pub Group, 1991

A childhood favorite
This book about a moose and a bear is a childhood favorite of mine and my sisters'. The relationship between Morris and Borris is very funny. Morris is very silly and Borris is very serious. Borris always gets very frustrated with Morris. However, they always seem to solve their differences and remain good friends in a very funny way. Their relationship reminds me alot of Ernie and Bert from ...

Christmas With Morris and Boris2 reviews
Bernard Wiseman

Little Brown & Co (Juv), 1983

Merry Kiss Moose!
I'm a veteran school librarian who spent years working at an elementary school that used a literature based reading program. Story Time was HUGE at our school, especially around holiday times--Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter. This book was ALWAYS part of my arsenal of Christmas read-alouds. For one thing--it's not sappy--the way some holiday books tend to be. It features the ...

One day, a pretty young woman walks into the ...

Morris and Boris and baby teeth (The DLM legacy collection of children's literature)1 review
Bernard Wiseman

DLM, 1991

Fun read about teeth and teeth care
In "Morris and Boris and Baby Teeth" by Bernard Wiseman, Morris the moose and Boris the bear discuss the losing of baby teeth. Morris has all kinds of questions and Boris tries his best to answer them. There are several funny interchanges between the characters. For instance, they try to figure out why it is called tooth paste instead of teeth paste since you use it on all of your teeth not ...

Morris Has a Cold3 reviews
Bernard Wiseman

Putnam Juvenile, 1990

Wonderful, Clever, Funny--Excellent Read Aloud
YEARS ago I discovered Bernard Wiseman's wonderful Morris and Boris books on the shelf of a rural elementary school library while searching for good read-alouds for story time. During my years working as an elementary school librarian I spent hundreds of hours doing story time--and these books were ALWAYS a favorite. The two chief characters--Morris the Moose and Boris the Bear--are friends--but ...

Morris Tells Boris Mother Moose Stories and Rhymes1 review
Bernard Wiseman

Dodd Mead, 1979

A Moose and a Bear
I read "Morris Tells Boris Mother Moose Stories and Rhymes" by Bernard Wiseman with my big brother. I liked that book very much. It's very funny. I liked the part where Morris the Moose tells Boris the Bear a story about four bears, putting Boris in the story, of course. The part that made me laugh was when Morris calls Boris a big fat bear in his story, and Boris shouts, "A WHAT???" Morris and ...

Morris and Boris at the Circus (An I Can Read Book)2 reviews
Bernard Wiseman

Harpercollins Childrens Books, 1988

Great light-hearted humor for early readers (and younger)
My son could not stop laughing when I first read him this book, and he requested it many times after that. Morris (the moose) can never quite get things right, and Boris (the bear) becomes quite exasperated trying to correct him. By the end of the book, Boris is pursuing Morris all over the circus tent, much to the delight of the crowd - and the reader. This is probably the best of the ...

The Very Bumpy Bus Ride (Parents Magazine Press Read-Aloud Library)2 reviews
Michaela Muntean

Gareth Stevens Pub, 1993

Pretty Good
This is a pretty good book. I think that kids will enjoy it. I've had it since I was a little kid. It's a real "Happily Ever After" tale. It's very ironic in the eyes of an older person. You'll see small ironies in the names. I ony havew one question: What happened to the bus driver's bus? Was it alright? Read this book and let me know your opinion
