The Beak Book: Understanding, Preventing, and Solving Aggression and Biting Behaviors in Companion Parrots10 reviews
Sally Blanchard

PBIC, Inc. (Pet Bird Information Council), 2002

every parrot owner should have this book
Occasionally my parrot was biting me so I called a rescue organization who recommended this book to me. It is FANTASTIC! I haven't been bitten by my bird since. I learned to respect when my bird was uncomfortable with something and that handling a bird when they're extremely excited can be asking for trouble. I can't say enough good things about this book. BUY IT!

Church Structure that Works: Turning Dysfunction into Health12 reviews
Bill Blanchard

VMI, 2008

V Suttle
This is a must read for all Christians who are leaders or serve on ministry teams (committees) in their local church. Dysfunction is the perfect word to describe the state of most of our churches today. Who has not sat in a business meeting that more resembled a debate on the Senate floor than the house of God? Who has not left meeting after meeting feeling like you just wasted precious hours ...

Jennings and Stahl-Wert know what they're talking about. Unlike many "leadership experts," this book rings absolutely true. A very moving, honest, hopeful story that helped me a lot. Thank you for getting to the deeper heart of leadership.

McGraw-Hill, 2007

The Image & Imprint of God in You is Evident By Your Serving One Another
The most difficult thing a person can achieve naturally is a requirement and achievable in Christ, and that is to serve another human being. We try and do things our way only to end up pursuing wealth, power, status, stuff and things. All along we miss out on the one thing that will bring fulfillment into our lives. There are many books written on Management and Leadership; most ...

Heike Bean, Sarah Blanchard

Howell Book House, 2004

Best book I've read on the subject.
This is the book for anyone who is serious about training their horses for driving with no corner-cutting. It is obvious that this book was written by a true horse trainer for true horse trainers, people who love horses and are dedicated to making the training experience a joyful and life-long experience. Heike Bean's book covers everything you need to know starting with the very basics, horse ...

Companion Parrot Handbook31 reviews
Sally Blanchard

Pet Bird Report, 1999

Only the best for feathered children...
If you have birds, getting a bird, thinking about getting a bird, would like to know about whats and whys of avian behaviour, this book is an absolute essential. It doesn't cover everything (nothing can), but it's one of the best bird books I've come across in my working in avian rescue organizations. If you can only afford one, you probably shouldn't have a parrot, but make this the first one.

Dressing Diana17 reviews
Tim; Blanchard, Tamsin Graham

Phoenix House, 1998

One of my Favourites!
I have a vast collection of Princess Diana memorabilia. My collection of Diana books is quite enormous, and sometimes I lose track of the books I own, but this book is one in my collection that ALWAYS comes to mind first! It is one of the most well done books I have seen. The photos are fabulous, and the design of the book is very cleverly done. It shows Diana in her most famous outfits ...

Pierre et (&) Gilles (Photo & Sexy Books)8 reviews
Nicholas Currie, Bensusan Pierre

Benedikt Taschen Verlag, 1994

There are true artists
Pierre et Gilles set a new standard when it comes to their combination of photograpy and painting. No wonder photographers like David La Chappelle try to knock off their style (imitation is the highest form of flattery). I found this massive coffee table book to be thorough, entertaining, titillating, and funny. I would recommend it to anyone interesting in modern "pop" art and portrait ...

Behind the Embassy Door : Canada, Clinton and Quebec9 reviews
James Blanchard

McClelland & Stewart Limited, 1999

Blanchard - A True Ambassdor
If only James Blanchard were still the US Ambassador to Canada! Relations between the two countries would not be in the sorry state they are now. But then the current Republican administration would never send someone like Blanchard to Ottawa. Blanchard made every attempt to get to understand Canada and Canadian issue before he even moved to the capital. He travelled to all ten provinces in ...

The Iscariot Conspiracy (Lieutenant James Collahan Series, 1)6 reviews
Al Blanchard

Koenisha Publications, 2001

No hope for a good nights sleep.
Having read Al's previous novel, Murder on Walden Pond, I began the Iscariot Conspiracy just before bedtime with the plan of reading a few chapters and going to sleep. It didn't work that way. When I finally looked at the clock, I was too far into the book to put it down and too far into the night to have any hope of a good nights sleep. It took a couple of days to catch up on my sleep but I ...

The Stuntman's Daughter: And Other Stories6 reviews
Alice Blanchard

University of North Texas Press, 1996

GREAT COLLECTION OF SHORT STORIES
I bought this after reading Blanchard's novel, "Darkness Peering," and it is a fantastic collection of short, often disturbing, always challenging stories. I have no doubt in my mind that Alice Blanchard is a writer of great talent who will soon be a fixture among the great American writers of our time.

Bonnie Blanchard, Cynthia Blanchard Acree

Indiana University Press, 2007

The best music teaching book on the market - practical, enjoyable and inspiring!
Bonnie Blanchard's book "Making Music, Enriching Lives" is a joyful, fun and inspiring read, imbued with the author's enthusiasm and humor. The book is pleasantly personal, filled with many stories and examples, which go straight to the heart of teaching. The numerous suggestions offered are practical, rather than mechanical. For example, the book does not cover the physics of tone (the air ...

Cook What You Love: Simple, Flavorful Recipes to Make Again and Again7 reviews
Robert Blanchard, Melinda Blanchard

Clarkson Potter, 2005

Cook what you love...that is, if you love food more than Chihuahuas
So...with all the free recipes online, why would I need to buy cookbooks? The authors address this question in the introduction, and I agree with the answer they quote in their book: "Like other good books, the best cookbooks have strong voices that lure readers into unfamiliar worlds, give colorful observations about those places, and, above all, reveal a passionate interest in sharing ...

Star Wars: Heir to the Empire (Star Wars)8 reviews
Mike Baron, Oliver Vatine, ...

Titan Books Ltd, 2003

Darkhorse version did not disappoint.
Other than the GL done SW movies, this is the most important series of books in the Galaxy Far Far Away. If i were starting out as a reader of the Expanded Star Wars universe I would not start with Zahn first. I would start with the Han Solo trilogy first. Darkhorse has made some SW books in comics. They gereally do a good job, but not always. They often suffer from poor editing decision. ...

The Mulligan: A Parable of Second Chances7 reviews
Wally Armstrong, Ken Blanchard

Thomas Nelson, 2007

Do you want your child to play golf?
I only wish I had read this book 10 years ago when my son first started playing golf. As a Christian, this book would have given insights on how to teach about life as we played the game of golf. Now, this book can act as a great gift for someone who needs to learn more about the true meaning of life or for someone you would like to restore your relationship with. How can they refuse your ...

Eulogy6 reviews

Authorhouse, 2000

Memories
Having grown up in the same era as Mary, and a student in the Catholic school system, her story of those days brought back many wonderful, and some sad, memories. I was torn between not wanting to put it down and wanting to make it last. It was warm, funny - the neighbors were about to cart me off to a rubber room as I laughed aloud at her vivid descriptions. It was sweet, without being cloying. ...
