This should be required reading for teens!
This book provides eye-opening information which has motivated my daughter to think seriously about what she wants to do with her life and how she can achieve it. She has even done her own research into career choices, academic requirements and cost of living expenses. The subject matter covers all of the most significant potential stumbling blocks young people are bound to encounter. The ...

Brain Quest Bathtime: 175 Stories, Poems, Questions and Answers--Even Jokes and Riddles--to Read Together ...3 reviews
Brain Quest

Workman Publishing Company, 2002

Another great Brainquest product
Of all the Brainquest products my daughter has (My first, preschool, kindergarten, and bedtime) this one has the most challenging questions for her. Many of these questions has caused us to do experiments with her (such as what happens to water when it freezes and when it is boiled). The pages are made of a waterproof plastic like material so you can leave them in the tub. All in all, another ...

Comic Vocab: Laugh Your Way to a Better Vocabulary12 reviews
Thirsty Brain LLC

Thirsty Brain LLC, 2006

huge smiles, learned new words
I smiled a lot while listening to Comic Vocab. =) The other reviews just confirmed my belief that humor and comedy are subjective. The humor in this product worked for me. It kept my attention and I learned a bunch of new words. There were only a few times when I laughed out loud, but most of the jokes managed to get me to smile, and that was enough for me to enjoy the product and learn from ...

The Wisdom of the Pearlers: An Anthology of Syriac Christian Mysticism (Cistercian Studies)1 review

Cistercian Publications, 2008

The Wisdom of the Pearlers
The format is a good help with first an introduction with information on each of the sources and then the texts from them. The author seems to concentrate mostly on the ascetic writings from these sources. It might be helpful along with this book to read Sebastian Brock's The Syriac Fathers on Prayer and the Spiritual Life. For Isaac of Syria Hylarion Alfeyev's The Spiritual World of Isaac the ...

Brain Quest Bedtime: 175 Stories, Poems, and Jokes to Read Together with Questions and Answers (Brain Quest)3 reviews
Brain Quest

Workman Publishing Company, 2002

Typicall Brainquest product
I have purchased the My First Brainquest, Preschool Brainquest, Kindergarten Brainquest, and Bathtime Brainquest. This is a typical Brainquest item! I love this series. So far they have all been age appropriate and my 4 yo has learned a lot! My only complaint is that doing these questions before bedtime makes her more talkative and less ready for bed! So now we don't do them right before bed.

Marshall Brain's MORE How STUFF Works3 reviews
Marshall Brain

Wiley, 2002

Just as good sequel!
I bought the first "How Stuff Works" for my son. He is into the hows and whys of almost everything and he enjoyed the book very much. Theory and Practice of Goldsmithing (Jewelry Crafts)5 reviews
Erhard Brepohl, Tim McCreight

Brynmorgen Press, 2001

This is the best theoretical book in jewelry
The Brepohl's book surely is the best book about the theory of the jewelry's affair's that I know, but isn't a project book. Is a textbook well written, with a very good english translation (the original is in german). The theory of metalurgy, that is lacking in the others books on the field, is update and well presented. In the end of some chapters there are few examples of student work, but their ...
