Davy in the Middle1 review
Brigitte Weninger

North-South Books, 2004

A delightfully entertaining picturebook
Davy In The Middle is a delightfully entertaining and enthusiastically recommended picturebook about a young rabbit who is fed up with being the middle child. Too big to play hop-on-pop with his little siblings, too small to go hiking with his big brother, but always called upon to do middle-sized chores such as baby sitting, he decides enough is enough and runs to his hideout to sulk. But his ...

Miko Wants a Dog (Miko)1 review
Brigitte Weninger

Minedition, 2006

"Mom, Can I Pleeeeeease Have a Dog?"
Miko is my favorite new children's picture book character. And in this book, Miko really, really wants a dog. He can't have a dog, though --- his Mom says so. They wouldn't be able to care for it, as they're away from home all the time and it would get lonely. Miko feels this is really too bad, as he's sure he could take good care of a dog. Miko finally gets his chance when his neighbor Mrs. ...

In "It Was Me, Mom!" Miko, the delightful little mouse imported direct from Germany is playing ball inside with his friend, stuffed toy Mimiki. Miko was told not to play inside, but he does anyone and he ends up breaking his Mom's favorite vase. Miko has to decide what he's going to say to his Mom. What will he say? Will You Mind the Baby, Davy?2 reviews
Brigitte Weninger

Michael Neugebauer, 1997

My daughter's favorite book
My daughter is 2 1/2 years old. She wants to have it read to her every night before bed. It is a wonderful story about adding a new baby to the family. It would be a great resource for any parent needing help introducing the idea of a new baby brother or sister to a preschooler.

Why Are You Fighting, Davy2 reviews
Brigitte Weninger

Turtleback Books Distributed by Demco Media, 2002

A simple friendship story
After fighting with a best friend, Davy found less fun to play alone. The relationship is mended as they found strengths of each other and needed help. A good lesson for young children to work things out together. I also like the beautiful illustration and would like to read others in the series.

Merry Christmas Davy2 reviews
Brigitte Weninger

North-South Books, 1998

The best christmas book I read for years
As a storyteller, every Christmas was a struggle, which books will I read this year? They were all nice stories, but none was better. Until I read this one. It was an instant hit. ALL the children loved it. Davy is an admirable character, he is like a regular 4 years old, innocent and willing to do some good... not thinking he can do some arm to his own family. A touching story that brings ...

It's Bedtime!1 review
B Weninger, A Marks

Michael Neugebauer (North South Books), 2002

Best nighttime book
My children and I regularly go to the library to read and we found this book. I highly recommend this night time book. It's absolutely charming. Both of my children love it, ages 2 and 4. The illustrations are very calming and bedtime inviting. They have a plush monster at Amazon that looks like the monster Ben wants to sleep with to keep him safe. I'm hoping we will be lucky and have both ...

Weninger and Tharlet Do It Again
Brigitte Weninger and Eve Tharlet, author and illustrator of the popular "Davy" series, have brought us yet another book in the Max Mouse series. This book is about Max Mouse and his friends trying to play a fun game of ball. They're having a good time, but then Rico the Raccoon shows up and takes their ball, apparently for no reason. The kids are all convinced that Rico is bad, but Max has ...

Delightful!!
My son giggles throughout this book and can't wait until the end when he can open the flaps and see the boy pop out. Each page is delightful and it is thrilling for preschoolers "again and again." Don't pass this gem up.

In "Double Birthday!" Miko is excited about receiving presents, but wonders about his friend Mimiki. (Mimiki is apparently a stuffed mouse, but he's real to Miko.) Brigitte Weninger, 2001

Molto's Dream
My sister in law bought this for my son when he was 8 months old and this became his favorite book, everyday with out fail he would bring this book to us to read to him. After a few month of reading and letting him turn the pages it was time to order a new one. So this became our second time with this book for him, and the only place we could find it again was on amazon.

Charming Import from Germany
"Miko: No Bath! No Way!" is a charming English adapation of a story orignally published in Japan under the title "MIKO Waschen? NEIN!" In this story, Miko the mouse comes in after a fun day of playing. He's rather dirty and his mother says that he needs a bath. But while she fills up the tub, he goes off and hides. What's the Matter, Davy1 review
Brigitte Weninger

Demco Media, 2002

You can't help but love this book!
This is a great book for kids who carry around a ratty, old, worn out, and much loved stuffed animal. My son could identify with so many of Davy's feelings. Davy and his family show they care for one another in many different ways. My husband loves to read this book.

Happy Birthday, Davy!1 review
Brigitte Weninger, Eve Tharlet, 2000

Happy Birthday, Davy ~ Brigitte Weninger
This is a great book for children to read. It has suspense, and hope. It explains a lot about how children these days act in situations. When an important day for Davy comes near, he is ready for it. He cannot wait until this day, and hopes it wil come soon. His brothers and sisters also wait. This book explains alot about dreams and how your wishes can come true. If you wait patiently ...

Good-Bye, Daddy3 reviews
Brigitte Weninger

Topeka Bindery, 1999

A must for any young child having difficulty with divorce.
The story of Tom quickly became my 4 year old son's favorite bed-time story. Especially following visitation days. It thoughtfully explains the problems that most kids have during and after a divorce, without placing blame on anyone. It also does not give any false hopes about the parents getting back together. The illustrations are beautiful. I highly recommend this book.

Bye-Bye Binky6 reviews
Brigitte Weninger

Minedition, 2007

Very cute book
I purchased this book to read to my 3 year old daughter before we took the pacifier away (or as we told her the boom boom fairy). We read it the night the fairy came. My daughter loved the book. It is so funny (she even laughed out loud a bunch of times). This book makes the pacifier seem like it's not a very big deal as the other animals find different and silly uses for it. However, I like ...
