Young and Revolting: The Continental Journals of Nick Twisp10 reviews
C. D. Payne

Infinity Publishing, 2006

I had to finish the series...
This book started in a choppy style that's not seen in the previous books... and there's some scenes that really, really drag on longer than they need to. A lot of people have been disapointed by this book, but I wasn't one of them. If you read the first book, I can't see how you could resist reading the second, and of course this one, regardless of the outcome... its really a three... but... ...

Youth in Revolt: The Journals of Nick Twisp202 reviews
C. D. Payne

Blackstone Audio Inc., 2007

Fun and worthwhile, both as a writer and teen
1. Teens: I read Twisp AND then I read a hundred Amazon reviews of this book afterwards. Did anyone notice that the ADULTS said teens don't talk like these characters while the 14 year old TEENS said "a teen can't find a better book?" I tend to trust the teen perspective. As a young-adult writer, I've heard other published YA writers say that if your reader is 14, make your protagonist act ...

Civic Beauties15 reviews
C. D. Payne

Aivia Press, 1999

remarkable characters, unique story.
Although the background of this story is American politics, one need not know anything, or be interested in politics to enjoy this book. A joyous read for teenagers or adults, though more for the female readers, this book follows twin teenage girls with contrasting persona's, and their whimsical friends who you either hate or love from the very first introduction. C D Payne is a master at ...

Getting the Most Out of Morning Message and Other Shared Writing Lessons (Grades K-2)3 reviews
C. D. Payne, Mary Browning Schulman

Scholastic Professional Books, 1999

An excellent book for developing young writers
The authors have provided an easy-to-read book for teachers who want to help students in primary grades (K-2) develop writing skills. Excellent for beginning teachers who need a starting point and for veteran teachers who want to continue to improve writing instruction. Filled with examples, actual lessons and management ideas that illustrate the "power" of shared writing.

Queen of America: A Royal Comedy in Three Acts1 review
C. D. Payne

Aivia Pr, 2001

Interesting Play
This was a very amusing an enjoyable play. However, the quality of humor and style does not nearly match Payne's other works, such as Youth in Revolt. It also appears to have been written all in one sitting and not to have been edited: it reads somewhat like a skit written for a High School class. It is, however, worth reading because of the funny lines and its shortness. It can be read in about ...

Revoltingly Young: The Journals of Nick Twisp's Younger Brother4 reviews
C. D. Payne

Infinity Publishing, 2006

necessary reading of the whole series
As the reader, you travel an insane journey as you live vicariously through the books main character. You must start with the authors first book, YOUTH IN REVOLT,the journals of nick twisp to even begin to follow this incredible story. The author is a literary genious who is unbelievibly imaginative. This is a must read for all those 80's and 90's kids who are sure to relate to at least one of ...

Cut to the Twisp3 reviews
C. D. Payne

Aivia Press, 2001

great book
by far one of the funniest and best written books i've ever read. payne does a great job of getting into the mind of a 14 year old. the book flows great, with so much going on at one time, much like real life, yet with adventures that could never be imagined by a normal mundane mind. seriously a great book.
