Hands of Flame (The Negotiator, Book 3)10 reviews
C.E. Murphy

Luna, 2008

Nice end to the trilogy
I'll admit that after reading the first book, I thought the series was going to be interesting, but not up to five star quality for me. The second book changed my opinion as I flew through the book. Now the third book continued the rush I felt from the second and ended with no real loose ends for the main characters, while leaving plenty of room for favorite second characters. The writing ...

House of Cards (The Negotiator, Book 2)15 reviews
C.E. Murphy

Luna, 2008

"Solid second in a series"
This is a very good second book in a series -- it is strong, with a very natural continuation of friendships, romances, and business interests. That is, where business interests equal meetings with Eliseo Daisani and a group of attorneys with something to hide. I have to say up front that one of the things about this book which seemed more realistic to me was this: Margrit and Alban do not get ...

Thunderbird Falls32 reviews

Luna, 2006

Thunderbird Falls (The Walker Papers
Enjoyed it I like the Seattle setting. Only thing to make it better is if the main herione was local native american. It was very much lie the first. Author could build on the romance more. The title is misleading.

Heart of Stone (The Negotiator Trilogy, Book 1)36 reviews
C.E. Murphy

Luna, 2007

Really great read
C.E. Murphy has a unique style, I think. I like that her characters are not too whiney or unrealistically brave. I read this book in two days. Yes, I disappeared from my family for two days while I was caught up in this world of gargoyles. lol I've read her other series and I am glad that the character is way different. Also, her writing doesn't seem to be formula. Another thing I enjoy ...

Manual of Emergency Airway Management6 reviews

Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 2004

Research-based and comprehensive
There are many good airway management books. However, Manual of Emergency Airway Management is, without a doubt, one of the finest texts written on airway management. Of particular note is the extended discussion on the use of the bag valve mask. Many texts, including textbooks, gloss over the techniques of BMV as if it was too pedestrian. Walls has not. Everything is well-researched and ...

Veterinary Virology, Third Edition3 reviews
Frederick A. Murphy, E. Paul J. Gibbs, ...

Academic Press, 1999

Veterinary Virology made easy(er)
This book is highly recomended to those of us who must struggle through veterinary microbiology. It makes the subject decipherable, and does not slip into the jargon that is so often found in science textbooks. The book begins with intrductory "How viruses work" material, before moving onto the various virus groups. Each section of the book starts out with a general introduction on how that ...

Urban Shaman84 reviews

Luna, 2006

Likable heroine and Celtic myth make for a pleasant read
C.E. Murphy's heroine Joanne Walker (aka Shioban Walkingstick) brings to the Urban Shaman the one thing that is so important for a first person urban fantasy heroine and that is a good 'voice'. Joanne's inner dialog is entertainingly sacarstic and she is likable enough that you'll care what happens to her as she stumbles into a battle between Celtic demigods. Before being skewered by the sword ...

what can I say to you God- A lot!
This is the cutest book for children to relate with God and life- "Your like a secret hideout.." how sweet is that! My two 1/2 year old loves this book- My sister and I actually got it when we were like 6 or 7- and we loved it back then. If you get a chance to own this book, it would be a blessing- it is so sweet.

The Queen's Bastard (The Inheritors' Cycle, Book 1)28 reviews
C.E. Murphy

Del Rey, 2008

A Very Interesting Read
Ok, so I actually don't think the book necesarrily deserves 5 stars (prolly closer to a 4), but I am admitedly trying to raise the overall rating, as it certainly deserves a better rating than Laurell K Hamiltons latest book!!!! I agree with many of the reviewers that the characters were pretty much unlikeable. But that is what made the book interesting to me, and more... human I guess. I ...

The Art of the Business of Fantasy Art (EMG-Zine.com Anthology, Volume 1)
Ellen Million, Ursula Vernon, ..., 2007

The 2006 anthology of EMG-Zine, this collection is a treasure trove of information about art, writing, business, marketing as well as a showcase of the best from their fiction and artwork from 2006. Hysterical, serious and enlightening by turn, this book is straight-forward dirt from the artists and writers in the trenches, and bound to become a dog-eared favorite. And hey, you can't go too wrong with something that starts with a chicken and an ...
