Between the Shadows (Nightbane Series Vol 1)4 reviews
C. J. Carella, Kevin Siembieda

Palladium Books Inc, 1996

Do I detect a bit of 'tel a'ran rhiod' from Bob Jordan's WoT
Apart from the fleeting resemblance to Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time world, this one comes out at you in a full scream. A terrible insight into what can happen inside your head during the nightly adjourn. Disgustingly fun and evil with lots of potential for RPGing and compatible with the rest of the Palladium system, very fun indeed.

Rifts World Book 10: Juicer Uprising3 reviews
C. J. Carella

Palladium Books, 1996

One of the hottest Rifts RPG Titles
This World Book contains much needed info of the Juicer world and society. Plus it gives description of many other types of Juicers, such as the Dragon Juicer, Phaeton Juicer, and Titan Juicer to name a few. I absolutely loved this book for all the info in it and the excellent adventure that is at the back of the book

Rifts Conversion Book 2: Pantheons of the Megaverse5 reviews
C. J. Carella, Kevin Siembieda

Palladium Books, 1994

Superior Gaming Supplement
I don't even use the Rifts system, but this book is a phenomenal supplement and well worth the purchase. It's chock full of information on the Norse, Greek, Aztec, Babylonian/Sumerian, Hindu, and other pantheons. (In the case of the Hindu entries, the authors take particular pains to note that the information presented is for gaming purposes only and is not meant to slight any of the real world ...

Rifts Dimension Book 2: Phase World4 reviews
C. J. Carella, Kevin Siembieda

Palladium Books, 1994

It is an excellent RPG book, buy it!
I read it through and through four times, it is an excellent book, with colorful details, and storyline. Though it did lack content in certain areas, I found it to be very interesting with the new cultures and weapons. Though not for everyone, Phase World definately tickled my fancy.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Slayers Handbook (Buffy RPG)2 reviews
C.J. Carella, Timothy S. Brannan

Eden Studios, 2006

You do not need to play the game to enjoy the core rulebook
At the beginning of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Core Rulebook," writer and designer C. J. Carella acknowledges that the reader of this volume could just as easily be a Buffy fanatic as a veteran of role playing games. Indeed, Carella considers it a safe assumption that anyone who gets to page 194 of this volume is a fan of the show (but he sees advantages for those who are not). Of course, I am ...

Rifts Mercenaries: A Giant Sourcebook for Rifts
C. J. Carella, Kevin Siembieda

Palladium Books Inc, 1994

Possibly the best book if you have all the others
This book is a great book, However, you should nnot consider buying this unless you have a fair selection of worldbooks etc. It has some excelent adventure ideas and is a quick way to obtain easy money (although this is not neccesarily good). It does have some equipment that is too good (mecha-knight power armour) but gm should use their common sense and not allow such vehicles to enter the ...

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Revised Corebook (Buffy the Vampire Slayer Core Rulebooks)4 reviews
C.J. Carella

Eden Studios, 2005

Revised Buffy
I'm extremely excited about this book after talking to the Eden Studios guys at Gen Con about it. I proudly own the orginal run thru of the Core Book. I'm buying the Revisied book out of share fandom. Because its going to have the updated Charecter sheets for the main cast plus other updates thats happen to the storyline up thru Season 7. A nice way to give the book itself some closure. Cause it ...

GURPS War Against the Chtorr (Steve Jackson Games)2 reviews
C. J. Carella

Steve Jackson Games, 1993

Aliens who are more than just Bug-Eyed-Monsters!
I've been a fan of David Gerrold ever since he wrote "The Trouble With Tribbles" for Star Trek so many years ago. So when he stated this new series, I bought it right away. I still don't see how the humans can fight the Chtorr and talk about winning. However, if you want to try a RPG based on the books, I can think of no better game to use than GURPS. Includes some material not in the ...

GURPS Martial Arts: Exotic Combat Systems from All Cultures5 reviews
C. J. Carella, Steve Jackson

Steve Jackson Games, 1991

A Must have for people who play GURPS!
I have been interested in GURPS and Martial Arts for a long time. This book contains tons of styles and the rules for skills and manuvers are very nicely done. Although it doesn't have Every martial art in existance it does have a wide selection and rules for creating/integrating your own. I integrated Taido in and it worked really well. This book can add flavor to GURPS combat even if it is ...

Nightbane World Book 2 Nightlands1 review
C. J. Carella

Palladium Books Inc, 1996

Nightbane rocks!
This series of Palladium books is the most interesting and thought provoking I have ever read. A must for any RPG'er of any genre if only for the read (which by itself is worth the dosh) A game that is more effective and realistic than any major system that I have ever seen and more consistant and is actually compatible between its differant 'in-house' systems while maintaining it's own ...

GURPS Voodoo2 reviews
C. J. Carella

Steve Jackson Games, 1995

Strange Adventures in the modern world
If you want to include a little magic with your modern-day adventures, I -highly- recommend this book. There is some great background material here on Voodoo, as well as some fantastic material on the "Shadow War" between things of the fantastic and things of the "real" world. You'll be wondering whether this could really be true by the time you finish this book. I'd like to see a ...
