Emperor Saga-
I could not put down Iggulden's Series once I had started reading it and I kept reading until all four were behind me. The fascinating tale of an amazing leader.

Genghis: Lords of the Bow15 reviews

Delacorte Press, 2008

Amazing Book!
I have been a huge Conn Iggulden fan since he began writing the Julius Cesar series, and now he is tackling Genghis Kahn. I love it even more. I've found his writings to be historically acurate, and interesting. I've always been a huge fan of Historical Fiction, but i think this book goes beyond the whole Historical genre. It really is a study of human nature and Father/Son relationships. It ...

The Dangerous Book for Boys627 reviews
Conn Iggulden, Hal Iggulden

Collins, 2007

Brilliant book for boys or girls
My nine year old twin girls love the book. Sure, they have no interest in hunting rabbits (they're vegetarians) or famous battles in history (at least not yet), but there's a lot in here for any kid who is not on too tight of a parental leash. Get this and the girls' book too. A lot of worthwhile bits in each.

Roman History
This was a great book and I hope it is not the end of the series. Well written..staying with history and not changeing it, is the mark of a good writer.

The Dangerous Book For Boys
CONN Iggulden, Hal Iggulden

HARPER COLLINS, 2007

Equal parts droll and gorgeous nostalgia book and heartfelt plea for a renewed sense of adventure in the lives of boys and men, Conn and Hal Iggulden's The Dangerous Book for Boys became a mammoth bestseller in the United Kingdom in 2006. Adapted, in moderation, for American customs in this edition (cricket is gone, rugby remains; conkers are out, Navajo Code Talkers in), The Dangerous Book is a guide book for dads as well as their sons, as a ...

Genghis: Birth of an Empire40 reviews

The Rise
I have been a huge fan of British authors David Gemmell and Angus Wells, both of whom have passed away in recent years. I saw Conn Iggulden's book Genghis on the shelf in the store. The unusual name first drew my attention and then the title. I am a fan of the history of Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, Napoleon and many other great generals over the ages. On a whim I purchased the book and ...

The Pocket Dangerous Book for Boys: Things to Do2 reviews
Conn Iggulden, Hal Iggulden

Collins, 2008

An Attractive Re-Packaging
This book is ideal as a "thinking of you" gift for that boy on your list. But for an actual birthday or holiday, you may want to buy the larger, more comprehensive The Dangerous Book for Boys or the equally amazing The Big Book of Boy Stuff. This pocket book is composed mostly of the activities included in its source book, with perhaps 25% new material (like the Garden Rocket). Like the ...

The Gates of Rome (Emperor, Book 1)123 reviews
Conn Iggulden

Dell, 2004

Superb - A fun, gritty, compelling read
I do not understand the negative reviews for this tremendous book. This is exciting, compelling, evocative writing that brings an era and personality to brilliant life. Mr. Iggulden makes no bones to the fact that he uses a great deal of poetic license on history for plot purposes, and includes a detailed addendum in each book on where he deviates from history. So big deal: this is historical ...

This book is ideal as a "thinking of you" gift for that boy on your list. Emperor: The Gods Of War39 reviews

Well written
Well written in an easy, flowing style. High historical accuracy without fluffing things up by adding in unneeded extra drama. Good solid read.

Lords of the Bow (UK Hardcover)2 reviews

Harper, 2007

The brilliant second installment of the Conqueror series
Having united the tribes into the unified nation of Mongols, Genghis Khan and his brothers lead their great army into the land of the Chin. They encounter a new type of warfare, besieging great cities with high, strong walls and massive defensive weapons. Keeping the tribes united is a difficult task and relies upon the brains of the great khan combined with his, sometimes shocking, ...
