Tuck in with the Animals' Winter Sleep!
A great book to snuggle under the covers with your children this winter! What a wonderful holiday gift, super for the classroom,as it educates us on the animals' winter sleep habitats, and reminds us of their long and precious winter slumber.

I love Carol Orsborn's interview
I am a big fan of Carol Orsborn's books (including "Inner Excellence at Work: The Path to Meaning, Spirit and Success.") It's great to read her in an informal interview with the folks at New Dimensions. They really capture the flavor of her wisdom and advice. All the authors who are featured make an important contribution to the field of spirituality and business. Read this book!

Excellent Introduction to NYC and it's impressive structures!
New York Architecture is a very nice book. It's a very well written book, it's obvious the author knows what she was talking about. The photographs are first class, the best photos of New York's best and nicest buildings and landmarks I have ever seen! The introduction is rather lengthy, but covers New York City in a way that is accurate and embracing. All in all, I am impressed with this ...

Manhattan Skyscrapers
Definitely one of the best Skyscraper books in a nutshell visually and informatically. Very simple layout and would tell you directions to the particular skyscraper if in the area. This was for a College Elective Class and my professor swore to this book (for a GOOD reason). By the way, its not just Manhattan, Brooklyn carries some too.

ART DECO IN THE NYC
Let me state straight up, I love Art Deco architecture, the elegance the high style, it reeks of class. The photography in this book is spectacular, granted it helps that the subject matter is breathtaking. This is the Deluxe addition and is priced as such. It comes autographed and it has a limited edition run. As for as im concerned it is totally worth the price, this is the kind of book ...

amazing photography
I am not usually a big fan of photo books but when I started flipping through this book at a friend's house, I couldn't put it down! The images are surreal and imaginative, to the point that the photographs seem to be of hand crafted jewelry or nature, not just of concrete, steel and stone. I ended up buying the book myself and even bought a second copy to give as a gift! Definately buy this if ...

Terrific
I purchased this book for my curious 3-year old, who is fascinated with birds and, especially, Robins. It's just terrific! In fact, our whole family has derived a lot of pleasure from the book. Thanks to this book, watching Robins in the backyard has become a favorite pastime of our family. The book features outstanding, realistic illustrations and excellent writing. It's a winner!

Particularly suitable for bedtime reading
Written and illustrated by Nancy Carol Willis, Raccoon Moon is a gentle and highly recommended children's picturebook about a mother raccoon who takes care of her young cubs. The soft color, museum quality illustrations add a heartwarming special touch to this tender tale. A postscript of fun facts about raccoons, including how the raccoon got its name and why baby raccoons can't be kept as pets, ...

A celebration for the American Sporting Life traditions
I love this book!. My copy, which I bought some years ago is getting rather worn for the many times I've re-read it and browsed through its pages, discovering new small details every time in its wonderful pictures. The book reflects the deep old involvment of Americans with land and its flora and fauna, as well as its reverence and respect for it. It shows the traditions of Americans, and ...

The "Dead Sea Scrolls" of the Empire State Building.
This is actually three stories in one. First, the discovery of a personal notebook documenting the construction of the ESB by an involved, but unknown author. Meticuously typed, with photographs, the manuscript was obviously a labor of love. Second, the written manuscript provides details of the construction which are engrossing, and the notebook's photos show the processes of constuction ...

Very Interesting
Perhaps a little to dry for someone not totally engaged in the subject matter, but overall this book is extremely interesting and full of helpfull information to anyone interested in urban design, the cities of New York or Chicago, or architecture.

great price!!
book was offered at my school, a community college, for $79.00. It was paperback, and looked to me like it was photocopied very inexpensively. I found this book, hardback, for about half the price. FANTASTIC!!!

Great book, potential A?
I sure hope so, this book was great and helpful. As a third year law student writing a paper examining road rage this was a great first step towards understanding road rage...this book led to other sources as well, but all in all a great starting place to create a good foundation for a paper. I also learned a few things while reading the book! Thanks!! The only problem that I see is that ...

Cinema Lingua pays creative homage to the symbiosis between filmmaking and the written word. Our authors explore, rewrite, and ...

Production values (pictorially/editorially) are fantastic.
Coincidentally, I also am in Somerville, MA. I happened upon this only because it was displayed prominently in a local Cambridge institution in Harvard Square on top of a stack of new architecture and art books that I passed by just browsing. I probably buy more computer-related books (not many at all) than architecture these days, but after looking through this I easily decided to buy it then ...
