What's more perfect that a cute little puppy licking your nose to show you that he loves you? When Nancy finally gets the dog she's been begging her Dad for, everyone is happy -- at least for a while. It seems like food has been disappearing, and not just in the Drew household. What's even worse, it seems that the most adorable chocolate-colored puppy in the world is going to be held ...

The Mystery at the Moss-Covered Mansion (Nancy Drew, Book 18)9 reviews
Carolyn Keene

Applewood Books, 2003

The Moss Covered Mansion
The Nancy Drew Collection is incredible! As a collector, I enjoy each of the stories. I love the older originals in particular. They contain more substance and much better writing. I feel the newer ones read like comic books. The older ones challenge us at times to pick up a dictionary. Also, these now make great history books as we read about chains that were put on the tires after a rain ...

The Bungalow Mystery (Nancy Drew, Book 3)37 reviews
Carolyn Keene

Applewood Books, 1991

First Nanmcy Drew I ever read-- AND LOVED IT!
Like many of the Nancy Drews, the Bungalow Mystery shows what Nancy is really like. It shows her desire to help those in need, and resourcefulness in hunting down criminals, more than her attorney father had. Nancy was justified in being suspicious of Laua Pendelton's supposed guardian, though Laura said that Jacob Aborn and Mrs. Pendleton, who had died recently, were schoolmates. When Laura ...

The Mystery at Lilac Inn (Nancy Drew, Book 4)35 reviews

A Big Surprise!
My friend was always very into Nancy Drew. She had bought a couple of the books, but then recieved a box set and was left with a few doubles, so she gave this one to me. I thought "Wow. Great. A cheesy mystery novel." It sat in my bookshelf for two years. I only have a few unread books left in my shelf, and didn't feel like going into my series of Louisa May Alcott books just yet, so I picked ...

The Crooked Banister (Nancy Drew Mystery Stories, No 48)8 reviews
Carolyn Keene

Grosset & Dunlap, 1971

Terrifically Interesting: Don't put it down
Nancy really has to have a gallon of ideas to solve this mystery. I think that the house is very neat, but very crazy. I never knew what was going to happen. This should be one of the top ten Nancy Drew books.

The Kitten Caper (Nancy Drew Notebooks #69)1 review
Carolyn Keene

Aladdin, 2005

Great timeless series
My seven year old daughter just loves these books. She is not only reading more, she is ENJOYING reading more. These stories have been updated in places to make them more relevant to the 21st century, but the great stories remain the same. My only complaint is that there is no "box-Set" available to make buying them much easier.

Wonderful Gift for Girls, ages 8-11
My cousin's daughter just celebrated her 9th birthday, and I plan on giving her this book, along with some other Nancy Drew books, for Christmas. I gave her volumes 1 through 6 for her birthday, and her mom tells me that she is just blazing through each book, because she loves them so much. It warmed my heart to give her these books, as I remember reading them when I was her age. I used to ...
