Meeting God at Every Turn2 reviews
Catherine Marshall

Chosen Books, 2002

Wonderfully Inspirational
I bought this book at 11:00 a.m. and was finished by 8:30 p.m. the same evening. Such an easy read and so truthful and full of love, laughter and tears. Catherine Marshall wrote honestly about her life and her constant struggle with her relationship with God. Her honesty was touching. One of the best books I've read in a long time.

The Best of Peter Marshall2 reviews
Peter Marshall

Guideposts/Chosen Books, 1983

Please read this book!!!!!!!!!
I read the book 'A man called Peter' last summer. It was a wonderful book, and I LOVED it!!!!!!!!! Then I decided to read some sermons by Dr. Marshall. I checked 'The best of Peter Marshall' out at my library and literally could not put the book down! I must say, they were at times challenging and convicting, but that's exactly what I needed. I love the way he got right to the point and said ...

To Live Again3 reviews
Catherine Marshall

Chosen Books, 2002

When your heart is so broken you can read nothing, read this
Mainstream Christian people will be very familiar with the name, if not the writings, of Catherine Marshall. Her husband, the great Scottish orator, Rev. Peter Marshall, was Chaplain of the U. S. Senate, and a powerful man of God. He was the light of Catherine's life, and died too soon! When your heart is so broken, the grief so deep, that you cannot eat, cannot smile or stop crying, then ...

Mr. Jones, Meet the Master: Sermons and Prayers of Peter Marshall5 reviews
Peter Marshall, Catherine Marshall

Fleming H Revell Co, 1982

Boring? Hah!!!!!!!!!
In 'Mr. Jones meet the Master', you are allowed the privelege of reading just a few of Dr. Marshall's sermons. Being only sixteen, I have not found many friends my age ready to read this book, and that is awful. When most people (Especially teenagers) hear that you're reading 'a book of sermons', they think 'boring!' Not so with this book. Last summer, I decided to read 'Mr. Jones, meet the ...

A Closer Walk2 reviews
Catherine Marshall

Hodder And Stoughton, 1987

Spiritually Solid!
These writings are taken from the prayer journals of Catherine Marshall. In the preface, Elizabeth Sherrill tells us that these notes reflect the author's "daily appointment" with God and were originally kept in spiral-bound notebooks of various shapes and colors. Catherine brought her dreams, goals, desires, and reflections to these times of fellowship with her Creator. Writing eliminated ...

Beyond Our Selves10 reviews
Catherine Marshall

Chosen Books, 2002

Excellent Spiritual Insight
What a legacy this woman of God left before she went home to heaven. Her life was a life of the right priorities. This anointed book will draw many people closer to God as they read the insight she shares. Reading about the testimonies of others who have overcome encourages you in your walk with the Lord Jesus. Another theme from Holy Scripture that she emphasizes throughout the book is love, ...

Adventures in Prayer4 reviews
Catherine Marshall

Hodder & Stoughton Ltd, 1976

This Adventure~Prayer~So Simple
All of my Christian walk I've known about prayer; been a part of prayer-chains, prayed when I didn't know what else to do, and have even experienced answers to prayer. Deep in my heart I've always felt that there was something more. At times, I'd wonder, why pray if God is going to carry out His will anyway? How does prayer work or change anything? This book by Catherine Marshall was an answer ...

Bilquis Sheikh

How amazing God the Father is - His LOVE endures through ALL things!
As a self-professed non-reader, I stayed up to 3AM just so I could finish the book! How amazing God is! It is a story of a woman - a Muslim by birth, with connection to high ranking Afghanistan officials and of upper class family connections - who one day came upon Jesus Christ in a dream which began her lifelong journey to seek the true God. Bilquis Sheikh risked everything - even her life ...

Something More3 reviews
Catherine Marshall

Chosen Books, 2002

A Christian perspective on good overcoming evil.
I first read Catherine Marshall's Something More about 20 years ago and have reread it and saved excerpts from it over the years. Catherine, Peter Marshall's widow, starts this book with the death of her young grand child. She then reviews her Christian walk and provides a thought provoking encounter with a loving God who can allow the young, innocent and good amongst us to die and yet ...

Christy109 reviews
Catherine Marshall

McGraw-Hill Book Comapny Inc., 1967

Loved it!
This is one of those classic novels that you could read again and again. I hadn't read it since high school twenty years ago and just re-read Christy last week. I like it even better now than I did then (and I loved it then, too). I would have loved to have had Catherine Marshall's version of a sequel (hopefully it would have consisted of a continuation of Neil & Christy's romance), but I ...

Christy Series #8: Family Secrets1 review
Catherine Marshall

Thomas Nelson, 1996

Romance and Mystery
This book has a lot of mystery and suspense and IMHO is the best one in the series! Especially because of all the romantic scenes between Neil and Christy. I also teaches a valuable lesson about acceptance and love.

The Collected Works of Catherine Marshall: To Live Again and Beyond Our Selves1 review
Catherine Marshall

Inspirational Press (NY), 1997

Inspirational Reading
Catherine Marshall's works, while writen for a generation that seems light years from the pressures and priorities of life in the 21st century, continue to be a source of inspiration for their practical faith. In today's high-tech world that continually barrages the individual and the family with more and more information and provides less time for introspection, it is refreshing to read the ...

Beyond Ourselves (Hodder Christian Essentials S.)1 review
Catherine Marshall

Hodder & Stoughton Religious, 1998

Most practical book on Christian faith journey ever
I've read tons of books, and this one is the most helpful I've come across in relation to practical Christianity. Anyone trying to figure out how to go "deeper" with God will find encouragement, humor, empathy, and passion. Catherine Marshall tells her stories in the most colorful way - uniquely true stories that will touch your heart.

Catherine Marshall: The Inspirational Writings1 review
Catherine Marshall

Bristol Park Books, 1995

What an inspiration!!
This book is a great collection of two of her great works. Every chapter is enlighting and truely inspirational. I had forgotten how much I enjoy her writings until I picked this book up. She takes a very analytical approach to Christian concepts and peppers it with true stories of her own and of her friends and acquaintances in Something More. In A Closer Walk, it is just a continuation of her ...
