Great beach book
I read this after P.S. I love you. I liked it even better which I didn't think was possible. Yes the technology doesn't match the timeframe, but I thought that just hearing the two characters thoughts and short letters was cute. I liked how life sort of came full circle. Quick, light hearted read. Perfect for that couple who had love at first sight, or wondering what-if over a high school ...

Maybe a different take on the book
I have read the book and have never seen the movie. I don't want to because the book holds a pretty special place in my heart and I fear the movie will ruin it. This book hit home from the moment I started for an entirely different reason then I have seen in the other reviews. My fiance is in Iraq and as I read I realized that over the last year I have been basically dealing with his "death" ...

If You Could See Me Now51 reviews
Cecelia Ahern

Hyperion, 2007

Not what I expected
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I bought it because I loved P.S. I Love You wriiten by the same author. After reading the description of book I wasn't expecting anything more than a run of the mill romance novel, but figured I would give it a shot anyway. This book was fun, whimsical, light hearted and truly an enjoyable read.

I absolutely loved it!
This is the third book I have read by Cecilia Ahern and I am in awe that such depth, creativity, and mature insight can come from someone so young. It appears to me that several of the previous reviewers have missed much of the point of this book. This book was not just a fantasy about a magical land where lost things and people reside. It is about the very deep and complex emotions of ...

Irish Girls Are Back in Town3 reviews
Cecelia Ahern, Patricia Scanlan, ...

Downtown Press, 2005

solid but darker than the previous romps
The fourth edition of this annual anthology that raises money for charity is surprisingly different in tone than the previous "Girls in Town" collections as these contributions are much darker than the previous Irish, American and Scottish romps. The tales are for the most part well written though some chick lit quirky twists in a few stories seem out of place. Overall the contributions appear ...
