Publishers know that "leaf-peepers" want to take samples of those leaves home with them after seeing ...

Happily, aquatic plants can be simpler to care for than they first appear. This bulletin tells you everything you ...

Great guide for raptor lovers
We got this for my 5 year old who is a raptor lover. The pictures are simply fantastic and even though he can not read the book yet, it makes it so easier for parents to explain since the book is meant to be for children so the language is easy to understand. Saying that the rest of my childen love this book too (a 7, 10 and a 12 year old). I highly recommend it.

Insights Into Translation
This is a fabulous book. Most of the essays are well worth your time. It is divided into 3 sections: The Theory of Bible Translation The History of Bible Translation The Practice of Bible Translation I particularly appreciated the articles by Don Carson and Mark Strauss, in which they interact with criticism of the TNIV, the updated version of the NIV. I like the way that both authors discuss the ...

Top-notch information for novice and experienced alike
I picked this book up as we deal with the worst drought on record in the Chicagoland/Northern IL area--which is tough on gardeners even in the best years. Smith covers it all in an in-depth, very readable manner. For a newcomer to gardening (wherever you may live), there is plenty of information on specific conditions divided by chapter (ex.--heat, cold, drought, flood...whoops, we can have ...

Great access, beautiful walks
I was pleased to find this guide to discovering the natural areas of Connecticut. Since I bought it, my family and I have been on numerous hikes. The chart in the front helps us plan--if we have time for a bit of a drive and a day's outing, we can go farther to a new and spectacular hike. If we don't have much time, we choose one closer to home. It's a great way to explore our new home state.

Pathogenic bacteria have unique biological properties, which enable them to invade a host and cause sickness. The molecular bases of these biological properties are the determinants of pathogenicity, and the research objectives are to recognize them, identify them chemically and relate their structure to function. Most of our present knowledge comes from studies with cultures in vitro. However, there is a rising interest in bacterial behaviour ...
