One of our FAVORITES!
A MUST for all children's libraries! I bought this book for my now 4-year-old when she was 18-months. She loved it then and has continued to enjoy it to this day. Now that she's a preschooler, she enjoys "acting it out." My 21-month-old has loved this book since she was around 8-months-old and she's very picky, but has always especially enjoyed books with pictures of kids and babies. I can ...

Absolutely Wonderful
My 2-yr-old is so in love with this book. She is fascinated by the simple story and also by the great illustrations. It is one of her must-read bedtime books. It is indeed a "feeling good book", however I think it is only appropriate for children under 4-yrs.

Over-rated due to a lack of African-American Literature
As an african-american woman, I purchased this book for my son based on it's title and reviews from other parents. They rated the book so highly I guess I expected something spectacular. However, when I received it I found I still liked the title, but the book was simple, not very afrocentric, and did not hold the attention of my child. I think people like this book because there are so few ...

Excellent Book for Toddlers
I have enjoyed reading this book to my two girls, age 5 & 1. A book of few words helps with repetition and learning. My youngest says the objects and points to them as I read. The pictures are very nice and bright. I even brought "Good Night, Baby" for my nephew.

Great book - babies learn from book
Used this for my first child, and will be using it again soon for #2. Baby can understand what it means to go to bed, and that it is not bad. Easy and quick read, and your child starts to understand the most simple routines like going to bed

The Greatest Infant Board Book
My 11 month old son received this book as a gift from his Godparents when he was about 5 months old. He loves it! It's his favorite board book! He actually turns the pages as I read the animal sounds to him! The pictures are vibrant and it is a great depiction of African American children!

Perfect for preschool or early kindergarten
The children in the book are making the shapes of the numbers with their bodies. The children in my classroom find this to be one of their favorites. On their own, they began to make the shapes of the numbers with their bodies nearly every day during their free book reading time using the book as a guide. There have been as many as 9 children at one time making shapes together. This is important ...
