The Best Thing About Easter 5 reviews Christine Harder Tangvald
Standard Publishing Company, 2003
Couldn't be better! What a terrific story! This book truly encompasses all the "fun" Easter traditions of egg hunts and baskets of chocolatey treats, etc., while finishing with an enthusiastic and upbeat description of the true meaning of the season - Jesus and His love for us! It would have been *perfect* if the darling illustrations had included a boy more prominently...even so, my 2 boys loved it!

Mom and Dad Don't Live Together Anymore (Tangvald, Christine Harder, Please Help Me, God.) 1 review Christine Harder Tangvald
Chariot Family Pub, 1988
An excellent divorce workbook for children 4 and up I highly recommend this book as a clinical and school psychologist because it is informative, practical and easy to understand. It is written in the form of a wookbook whereby children of all ages can relate to and interact with the various aspects their lives would be affected by a divorce. This is a practical tool to use to teach children how to gain a sense of control in the midst of their ...

Children Around the World Celebrate Christmas 4 reviews Susan Titus Osborn, Christine Harder Tangvald
Standard Publishing Company, 1996
Wonderful Multi-cultural resource, enjoyable too!! I ordered this book several years ago for the "Christmas Around the World" unit for my Kindergarten class. The back cover of the book actually lists the ages 3-8. I think the book was very age appropriate (3-8). It is written very simply, yet gets alot of information out to the readers or listeners. My Kindergardeners got alot out of it. The first year, it supplemented the "Christmas Around the ...

The Best Thing About Christmas (Happy Day Books) 3 reviews Christine Harder Tangvald
Standard Publishing Company, 2005
Enchanting Christian book for small children It is July and my 2 1/2 year old son still loves this book. He has it memorized. I think the illustrations are exceptional and geared for small children. If you have a toddler, or want an excellent gift for a toddler in your life, this book will be treasured. In fact, we used it as a "guide" to prepare for the holidays last year - on page one it shows children decorating a christmas tree, ...

Someone I Love Died (Please Help Me, God) 2 reviews Christine Harder Tangvald
Chariot Victor Publishing, 1988
This book is the best one on the market to explain death. The book "Someone I Love Died" is from my point of view the best. As a Pastoral Minister who deals with over 2000 children each week, one of the things I do is expain death to children. This is a concept that for them is very hard to understand. Why does God take someone they love away? This book expains clearly, correctly, the concept of death and what happens when someone dies. This ...

Easter Is... for Me! (for Me! Book) 1 review Christine Harder Tangvald
Topeka Bindery, 2000
Easter Explained to Your Pre-schooler We have several children's bibles in our home, but this book does a better job of explaining the Easter story to pre-schoolers. The book is written in a conversational tone starting with some of the distractions of Easter but quickly focuses on the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. It reassures children that this was God's plan from the beginning.... it was sad that Jesus died..... but ...

A funny book. It is a funny book because the Humpy, Grumpy pouts about carrying the water. The words sound really neat. They make the book good. I think most kids would like this book.
