Board Stiff Three: Preparation for Anesthesia Orals with DVD (Book & DVD)1 review
Christopher J. Gallagher

Butterworth-Heinemann, 2008

Great Review
This is a great first book when preparing for the orals. The DVD with it is a humorous treatment of common mistakes made by candidates. I used the 2nd edition for my own oral board preparation. Would not recommend this as the only source for review. However, mastery of all the clinical vignettes contained herein would probably put you on a low pass trajectory. The Essential Oral Board Review ...

Pomegranate Communications, 1994

Breathtakingly beautiful photography
The Gardens At Filoli is a superbly presented, full-color, 128 page photographic survey of the beautiful gardens comprising the 654-acre Filoli estate about thirty miles south of San Francisco, California. The lush and varied greenery, ranging from weeping cherry trees in full bloom to Japanese maples and hydrangeas offering fall color contrast, make The Gardens At Filoli a splendid treat for the ...

Board Stiff Too: Preparing for the Anesthesia Orals2 reviews
Christopher J. Gallagher, Steven E. Hill, ...

Butterworth-Heinemann, 2000

An Excellent Start !
I WAY over-studied for the Orals (passed Sept 2005). This book was almost the exact format I had in my 2 exams. Don't be fooled by the simplistic approach they offer, it really was how the test went. "Would you give blood to this patient ?" "Yes, I would" "Why", etc. NOT- Whats the MAC of enflurane in this Patient, and other minutia that some of the board review courses push. I ...

Cellars of Marcelcave: A Yank Doctor in the BEF4 reviews
Christopher J. Gallagher

White Mane Publishing Company, 1998

Truly Remarkable!
Dr. Ben Gallagher's account of WWI is one of the most compelling books I have ever had the pleasure to read. Between his medical background, self-reflection and observation this is perhaps one of the most complete views of war and humanity ever committed to paper. Inbetween his own story, Dr. Gallagher also relates the stories of the people around him, including one of the most remarkable ...

A light-hearted look at tennis, complete with funny pictures and captions. The most leaf-through-able book you will ever pick up.
