- Each word entry has an example. It is drawn from Collins' bank of English with 2.5
billions of real Englis words. This help the readers to use the word in natural expression
and grammatically correct. So far, it's the only dictionary that offers this useful feature.
It has saved me from hours of frustration while writing technical documents and

Excellent phrasal verb dictionary
This dictionary has a very interesting introduction with a section explaining how to use it and how entries are sorted.
Interestingly, the phrasal verbs whose use is more common are asterisked, and distinctions are made whenever the use of that verb is preeminently American, British or Australian.

HAVE KIDS?
Then you must own this dictionary. It helped my 12 year old son immensely. With the help of this dictionary, he actually understood the vocabulary words he was assigned, could use them correctly in sentences as well as in converstation. Great workbook for learning idioms
This workbook is composed of an introduction and 14 chapters, plus an answer key section. Interestingly, the idioms are sorted in units that range from how to express importance and priorities to how to speak about troubles and difficulties.
If you are aiming at very good grades in ESL writing tests, you need this book. If you don't need high marks, you probably don't need it.
