Ghosthunters And The Incredibly Revolting Ghost (Ghosthunters) 13 reviews Cornelia Funke
Scholastic Inc., 2007
An excellent read - Drew (8 years old) I think it's a very good book because of how it says how to defeat the ghosts the people have to fight. Also, I like how the ghosts look. The book wasn't scary at all and it only took me two days to read it. The book was exciting because you know when they're about to fight the monsters.
I thought it was an excellent book.

Igraine The Brave 8 reviews Cornelia Funke
The Chicken House, 2007
Igraine's Tale Today I am reviewing one of my favorite books called Igraine the Brave. The author of Igraine the Brave is Cornelia Funke. My book takes place in kind of a fairy-tale setting with castles and plains and woods. The main character of my book, as you may have already guessed, is Igraine. The book starts on her twelfth birthday. Also, there is her brother Albert, her two parents, and a nasty, ...

Ghosthunters And The Gruesome Invincible Lightning Ghost (Ghosthunters) 7 reviews Cornelia Funke
Scholastic Paperbacks, 2006
Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside They captured first an IRG
(More dangerous than most)
Now Hetty Hyssop and her crew
Must tackle a new ghost
They go to a seaside hotel
(The staff are agitated)
And find the manager's report
Was badly understated
Equipped to fight a fire ghost
They find something much stronger
They use the tools they have on hand
(I won't go on much longer)
The moral of this Funke-y tale
Is ...

Inkheart 474 reviews Cornelia Funke
Scholastic Paperbacks, 2005
Loved it! I loved this book and have been wondering why I haven't heard more people talk about it. She's a great story teller, first and foremost. I found myself gasping when the bad guys dog-ear one of her rare books, laughing out loud, and being delighted and horrified by the characters. I love that the heroes are bibliophiles, and I love the quotations that start each chapter and references within the ...

Hey I am 10 years old and I just red this book. I had seen the movie and loved it! So I deiced to read the book. I LOVED IT! I did not like the end as much as the whole story. I think she was ...

The saga of the Baroness

Ghosthunters And The Muddy Monster Of Doom! (Ghosthunters) 4 reviews Cornelia Funke
The Chicken House, 2007
Tom's field test proves to be a load of bull In this galvanizing addition to the "Ghosthunters" series, Tom has to identify and capture an unclassified ghost as the final step to being awarded his GhostHunting Diploma. Everybody, including Tom, thinks that this is a mere formality, because as we all know, he has already defeated ghosts in Category Six, and the field test requires capturing a mere Category Three specimen.
The thing is, ...

Dragon Rider 228 reviews Cornelia Funke
The Chicken House, 2004
Great Imagery I have never been a reader of high fantasy. I listened to this book on tape. The acting and voices of Brendan Frazier were more entertaining than any movie.
I enjoyed the length of the story. It was just right.
The dragons are leaving their home after many years of safety. Man has come to their valley, and it is no longer safe.
Firedrake, the silver dragon, sets out to find the Rim of ...

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke (Hardcover) 11 reviews Cornelia Funke
Scholastic Chicken House, 2003
A Magical Fantasy Worth Reading Again and Again. This is an amazing story! I never wanted to put it down! I felt like I personally knew all the characters. It was disappointing when I finished it. I wanted it to keep going; to never stop. It is the kind of book that surprises you, relaxes you, and even gives you a knot in the pit of your stomach. I will definitely read it again. I am currently reading the sequel, Inkspell. This book is equally ...

Princess Pigsty 3 reviews Cornelia Funke
The Chicken House, 2007
A Teacher's Perspective This is a fantastic piece of modern fantasy which chronicles the relationship between a young, non-conformist princess and her family. In the story, little Isabella decides good manners, pretty dresses, and being clean are all quite boring. He father (the king) decides to discipline her by sending her first to the kitchen to cook then to the pigsty to work...and Isabella loves her new duties at ...

The Princess Knight (Booklist Editor's Choice. Books for Youth (Awards)) 15 reviews Cornelia Funke
The Chicken House, 2004
great children's book I love reading this book to my little girl. It is one of the few books in which the characters neither act good or bad because of thier appearance. Usually the beautiful princess is either good or bad because she is beautiful rather than morality coming out of choices that human's make. This princess is defending her own honour. It has a really smart strong female lead.

Wildest Brother 2 reviews Cornelia Funke
The Chicken House, 2006
Wildest Brother is Good for Little Brothers I'm always on the look out for books my kids and this is one I picked up as soon as I saw it. This is a good book for boys and it is recommended for preschoo, kindergarten, and grades 1-2. Wildest Brother is a book about Anna's little brother Ben whose always getting into something. And usually that something is something of Anna's, like her makeup. This is a fun read aloud.

Ghosthunters and the Bloodthirsty Baroness! (Ghosthunters) 2 reviews Cornelia Funke
Chicken House Ltd, 2007
Not a new book! If your child is a Cornelia Funke fan, be aware that this book is NOT a new book. It is simply a renamed word-for-word reprint of GHOSTHUNTERS AND THE TOTALLY MOLDY BARONESS. After waiting for months for what appeared to be a new book, my seven year old was horribly disappointed to find that this was the same book he already had.
