Dangerous curves ahead
Now that Alex Chun's first book on Bill Ward is sold out Fantagraphics have wisely decided there is a market for a cheaper edition. This is not a straight reprint of the original, 'The Glamour Girls of Bill Ward' (ISBN 1560975318) which was a large size portfolio edition, beautifully printed. This current title is much smaller with an edited intro from the original but what looks like a ...

Humor of olden still golden
I just love this stuff. For every time our parents claim how properly they were brought up, there is a cartoon in this book that reminds me that they were every bit as bawdy as we are today. They just had better taste about it. This book starts with a history that isn't all that much to read and then single panel cartoons each page. The art is what it is and the jokes are the ones we've been ...

I love Rebecca Linder Hintze's book, "Healing Your Family History." Her book is filled with psychological and spiritual wisdom. With her wonderful title and well-written content, she cleverly summarizes and merges insights from analytical and developmental psychologists with modern therapies focused on both changing beliefs and emotional regulation. I frequently recommend her book to my clients. ...

An ideal gift to the one you love and care
The title of the book may be problematic without knowing the content. For those who love books of nature are likely to miss this one and for those who are serious readers on leadership may be disappointed. Perhaps a subtitle, something like "thoughts of life through nature" to go along with the main one is needed. Anyway, I love it.

More Than 7 Habits
This is the original from which Covey based all his later 7 Habits books, writings, seminars, etc. Much more powerful than expected, this is not a book for the squeamish. If you're afraid to improve, if you're afraid to make your life enormously successful, then stay away from this book. If you want to know what First Things First means, here's a great place to start.

Change of Heart
I took this book out of the library because I do costuming, but I didn't think it would be that good- now I want my own copy. Even though it contains theatre oriented advice on making realistic looking armor without breaking your budget, aging fabric, padding out your actors properly, etc., it also contains basic helpful advice for anyone who sews about the fabrics you use, how to solve ...

The most difficult thing a person can achieve naturally is a requirement and achievable in Christ, and that is to serve another human being. We try and do things our way only to end up pursuing wealth, power, status, stuff and things. All along we miss out on the one thing that will bring fulfillment into our lives. There are many books written on Management and Leadership; most ...

Wow! Sometimes we just need that ONE more push or that ONE more story to turn an average career into an exceptional one. I am so grateful because that is just what this book did for me. The authors' insights were great but it was that one story from Ms. Friedman that resonated so clearly...... that helped me to close a deal which I was unable to close for 2 years. Thank you so much! Genial y práctico libro de Stephen Covey. Don't Even Think About Going Under The Knife Until You Read This
Everyone wants to look like they did when they were young. I always assumed that the only way to achieve it was some painful medical procedure (visions of the skin on my face being pulled back and stapled behind my ears). Then I read Forget the Knife. You will be amazed at all of the effective non-invasive cosmetic procedures that are available. Dr. Covey hit this topic out of the park. If you're ...

This was my first Anthony Robbins cassette, and I really enjoyed it. I am looking foward to all his others. A lot of 'get rich, be smart, etc' motivators lack belivablity and energy. Tony certainly doesn't. Great for mom's who need a little encouragement. Great for everyone. And the interview with Covey is just excellent!

Thought-provoking ideas in a fun format.
Fantastic quotes, questions, stories, and illustrations. I have always been a fan of the 7 Habits, and this is a wonderful way to share its principles in a lighter format. Of course, this is not as in-depth as the original The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, but it is just as inspiring. It's fun too. A quick read and lots of ideas that you can ponder, share with others, and discuss. I ...
