This book is great. I can't see any other way to learn Indesign without it.It helps you work thorough documents using Indesign and by the end of the book you can use the program with little problem. It is like being in a classroom but the book is the instructor.
Some of the terms used in the book are not the same as in the program but it was easy to find the right terms.

Adobe has done a very good job with their "Classroom in a Book" series. I purchased The "Dummies" book when I first started learning Photoshop 7. Then I took a college class that used the Adobe book (which is why I bought this book for CS3). Adobes' book covers EVERYTHING you can do with Photoshop, albeit briefly. My ten year old son received this book for Christmas and he loves it. He has really enjoyed learning to draw is favorite Nickelodeon characters. It has great step by step directions that are very easy to follow and not frustrating.
