Color Atlas of Gross Placental Pathology1 review
Cynthia G. Kaplan

Springer, 2006

Good book
The photos of the gross pathology is excellent. Itis only gross like the title states. The book reminded me of a National Geographic, mostly photos and captions but little text. All photos are on fresh tissue and we receive all our placentas fixed but it is good nonetheless. For micro, the AFIP book on placental pathology is a great adjunct.

Leave the Building Quickly: True Stories12 reviews
Cynthia Kaplan

William Morrow, 2007

Buy this book... now
Cynthia Kaplan is funny. But that's almost besides the point. She's reflective and thoughtful. While you're laughing, in your mind's eye you can picture exactly what she's describing... and why... and how it applies to you and your life. Wise readers would buy everything that she writes. And read it many times.

KAPLAN LEARNING POWER (Power Series)
Kaplan, Cynthia Johnson, ...

Kaplan, 1998

It's hard for a student to make that quantum leap from not quite living up to one's potential to the student success story with the B average. For the pupil who's just switched schools and feels inundated with new expectations, who's working part-time and seems never to have enough time for sleep and homework, who just can't live up to teacher and/or parent expectations, it feels like this is the way it's always going to be--there'll be the ...

Why I'm Like This : True Stories50 reviews
Cynthia Kaplan, 2002

Why I'm Like This
Wow, this book was excellent. I loved it as much as I loved "Running with Scissors" and that says a lot. Perhaps it's because I'm just as neurotic as she is (I've been known to fear "mountain men" from time to time), or maybe it's because this book is just extemely heartfelt and entertaining. It's totally worth a read.

KAPLAN HIGH SCHOOL HANDBOOK1 review
Kaplan, Cynthia Hickman

Kaplan, 1997

I was fortunate to have found this!
I was indeed very shocked to discover that this book had gone out of print - since it has become so useful during my high school career. Perhaps they're making a new version that's up to date :-) I did find this book extremely useful in planning out activities for high school. This book was intended for students who are very ambitious and motivated to graduate at the top of their class and get ...
