Man of La Mancha: Vocal Selections1 review
Dale Wasserman

Hal Leonard Publishing Corporation, 1965

Easy-to-read music from the musical
This book includes the songs Aldonza, Dulcinea, The Impossible Dream, I Really Like Him, Knight of the Woeful Countenance, Little Bird,Little Bird, A Little Gossip, and Man of La Mancha. Includes lyrics and chord markings in addition to piano score. I believe some of the songs have been truncated for the purposes of the book.

Man of La Mancha8 reviews
Dale Wasserman

Random House, 1966

The Mirror of Reality is cracked!
I was introduced to Hidalgo Quixote, Knight of the Woeful Countenance in high school and was overtaken by the power of the music and the story. Two years later, I was living in Portugal. Though it wasn't Spain, I still felt the same breeze, and saw the same type of windmills that Quixote tilted in his tilted reason. Joseph Smith once observed that, "by proving contraries, truth is made ...

One flew over the cuckoo's nest: A play in three acts1 review
Dale Wasserman

French, 1970

Don't bother: it is only in two acts.
This is in no way the play in three acts it pretends to be. It is the standard two act version. It is of course as good as good can be and has the same shortcomings as the play in two acts. It is necessary to have it to know how a myth was created and a cult started. Dr Jacques COULARDEAU, University of Paris Dauphine & University of Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne

The Impossible Musical: The "Man of la Mancha" Story3 reviews
Dale Wasserman

Applause Books, 2003

"Impossible" but True
I saw "Man of La Mancha" in, probably, its second night of previews in New York. I had cajoled a group of friends into coming based on my fandom for its star, Richard Kiley. I was a bit worried that they, or indeed I, might not like the show. What was a big musical like this doing opening in a rickety, "temporary" theater W-A-A-y off-broadway? I couldn't get any reading on my friends' reactions ...

The Inn of a Thousand Days: A Memoir of a Country B&B1 review
Alan Tongret

Singularity Press, 2005

A Great Read!
What terrific story! This book has it all--setting, plot, drama, and wonderfully human characters. This book may be "about" obsession, but it is also a book "about" love: love of place, love of family, love of the "blood and guts" spirit --that desire to create--almost out of thin air--something beautiful, something lasting. Bravo!

One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest : A Play in Two Acts3 reviews
Dale Wasserman, Ken Kesey

Samuel French Inc Plays, 1970

WOW.
I saw this play last night, and I have to say, it was probably the most powerful and moving experience I've ever had. It is, of course, also, one of the most depressing and terrifying things I've seen. I was still shaking the next morning. Absolutely incredible. If you see a performance advertised, SEE IT.
