A Decade of Lite Hits: Contemporary Pop Ballads: Piano (Easy Piano (Warner Bros.))1 review

Alfred Publishing Company, 2001

I'm a big Dan Coates Fan
This book just arrived today and I love it! It is the 4th book I've bought arranged by Dan Coates. I love Dan Coates because he appeals to those in the Alfred level 4 piano range. Which is beyond the boring easy stuff, yet not advanced enough for Concertos. If you like to play and sing at the same time then you will love this book. I also like that these arrangements give something fun for the ...

So thrilled to have this music book with the bonus CD!!
All 8 Songs are wonderful. The best part is the CD that has the same 8 songs played by Dan! I'm so glad that I found this music book from Amazon.com! If you enjoy Dan's arrangement style for the contemporary music, you'd not want to miss this one, 8 original songs composed by Dan!

From This Moment On & Other Great Love Songs1 review
Dan Coates

Alfred Publishing, 1998

Classic Dan Coates
For those who like to play for their own edification, Dan Coates usually achieves an arrangement that is relatively easy to play but carries the "feel" of the more complex arrangements. The choice of songs is great to share with friends who love to sing. My daughter and I have spent hours with these arrangements - especially "From This Moment On" and the Theme from Titanic. Great ...

Dan Coates Easy Piano Collection (Pop, Country, Movie"2 reviews

Alfred Publishing Company, 1996

Fantastic
As far as the content, I love this book. I love Dan Coates arrangements. My mom has one of his older books with many of the same songs but it has a spiral binding. My only complaint is that it's hard to get this book to stay open.

Popular Love Songs & Wedding Music (Easy Piano)1 review

Alfred Publishing, 2000

This is a great book to refresh with!
It had been years since I played the piano but I wanted to pick it back up. I bought this book and I absolutely love it. Dan Coates arranges the music in such a way that it is very easy to pick up on and play. Would definitely recommend this book!

100 Songs for Kids: Sing-Along Favorites3 reviews

Topeka Bindery, 2002

100 Songs for Kids
This book includes nearly all the old nursery rhymes plus many other songs children like, plus the accompaniment is very simple for any beginning pianist. A great find - it was just what I was looking for.

Dan Coates Complete / Advanced Piano Solos11 reviews
Dan Coates

Alfred Publishing Company, 1999

Challenging and fun
The songs in this book are challenging yet worth it once you've learned them. The arrangements are well-written and flow smoothly when they're up-to-speed. The difficulty range is not huge, and tends to hover between intermediate and advanced. The left hand usually plays broken chords which are simple, yet effectively lay a base for the right-handed melodies. A great selection!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Easy Piano Selections)4 reviews

Warner Bros. Publications, 2004

Great Piano Book
This book is a great piano book. The song selection is great, espescially if you have the first to piano books, beacuase it only has one song repeated. My favorite song in the book is Buckbeak's Flight.

John Kander, Fred Ebb, ...

excellent piano book
I was really excited when I got this piano book. The songs are a bit challenging, but they are accomplished quickly. It is good for students who are in Alfred level 6.

Music from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (Essential Shows Film TV Folios)1 review
John Williams, Dan Coates

Alfred Publishing Company, 1999

Another awesome John Williams score!
Mr. Williams has once again composed a rousing score entirely appropriate for the newest Star Wars film. As a pianist and an avid John Williams fan, I looked forward to this book of piano solos with great interest. The score itself has less discernable and memorable themes than in the original trilogy, but it is a masterpiece nonetheless. Anakin's Theme is beautiful, and igeniously ...

The Secret Garden9 reviews
Marsha Norman, Dan Coates

Alfred Publishing, 1992

In Short --You Must Read
I bought the script and the vocals after listening to the wonderful C.D. This is great for any young struggling actor or actress or anyone who has an interest in the theater. I only wish that Broadway produced more touching musicals like this. The script is heartfelt and touching it shows trimuph over loss and the importance of family no wonder it won a Tony for best book! The script is ...

Selections from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire1 review

Alfred Publishing, 2006

Very nice collection of music
This book is rated as "easy piano", but is actually more of an intermediate collection. Movie theme music can often sound nothing like the real thing, but these songs come pretty close. They are well written and lots of fun to play.

100 Pop Hits of the '90s7 reviews
Dan Coates

Alfred Publishing, 1997

2 thumbs up for Dan Coates!
The #1 reason I love this book is that it appeals to the mid-range piano level. I am at a lesson level 4-5 playing ability and have found Dan Coates to be my favorite arranger. I would love to be able to play the advanced concertos like my husband can, but I'm not there yet. However, I am bored to tears with most of the sheet music labeled "Easy Piano" out there. There's only so much fun you can ...

Popular Sheet Music Hits: Easy Piano (Sheet Music Hits)6 reviews

Warner Bros. Publications, 2004

More Easy Arrangements of Popular Songs From Dan Coates
Like the songs in many other piano books Dan Coates has arranged and edited the pieces included here are easy to play. The book has twenty-five compositions all with complete lyrics which makes it a good book for a beginning voice student as well. Some of my favorite standards are in this book including THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS, SOMEWHERE OUT THERE, THE ROSE, THEME FROM NEW YORK, NEW YORK and ...
