Deadly Disguise (Freddy Kruegers Tales of Terror)2 reviews
David Bergantino

Tor Books, 1995

Deadly Disguise is somewhat intresting, but with many flaws.
Being a huge Elm Street fan, I was excited at the thought of a "New Elm Street novel." However, is the book any good? This particular book is about a celebrity who throws a Halloween party in his hometown, but the party turns deadly... For those Freddy worshipers out there, I warn you that Freddy is only in this book for about the last twenty pages. The story itself is intresting, however, the ...

Twice Burned: A New Elm Street Novel (Freddy Krueger's Tales of Terror, Book 4)1 review
David Bergantino

TOR, 1995

Overall, good
As the title of my review suggests, I thought it was like taking a great book, and tearing out a page that has important details on it. In other words, I didn't understand why a 15 or16 year old would be at a psychic, if it was because she wanted to know what her dream was telling her, there are more plausable ways to go about that. That aside, it got 2 thumbs up.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare: A Novel3 reviews
Wes Craven

Tor Books, 1994

An Author's Best Nightmare Come True
This novelization (of probably the best film in the Elm Street series) is an incredible work of fiction. The story of a film crew who discovers that their fictional creation, Freddy, is all to real is superbly acted out. Credit should go to Wes Craven for his script, but Bergantino made great additions to this piece, such as: excerpts from a (fictional?) journal in which David begins having ...

Virtual Terror (Freddy Krueger's Tales of Terror, No 3)1 review
David Bergantino

Tor, 1995

Great Book
This was the first book I read of Freddy Krueger's Tales of Terror, and it led me to read the rest of them. It has a great plot line, and allows you to picture what is happening to the characters.

A Midsummer Night's Scream : Hamlet II2 reviews
David Bergantino

Pocket Star, 2003

Avoid Cotton Candy
This second volume of Bard's Blood (sequel's to some of Shakespeare's classics) is quite different from the first (Hamlet II). But then the first was based on a tragedy while this was based on a comedy. Love is in the air at Globe University (and so are glowing orange fireballs). But not all the love is reciprocal. Then there is the spooky carnival that just moved in. To make matters worse, ...

Sozin's Comet: The Final Battle (Avatar)10 reviews

Simon Spotlight/Nickelodeon, 2008

from an avatar fan @ heart
i would say to those people who were disappointed with this book, that i think they mainly bought this for the spoilers.. i would not speak too hastily that this book left many questions unanswered because by the time i publish this review, i would not have had the chance to see the finale episodes of avatar. however, judging by the fact that these books are meant for ages not too old enough to ...

Hamlet II: Ophelia's Revenge6 reviews
David Bergantino

Pocket Star, 2003

Best Sequel Ever
I really can't say enough about this book. From start to finish, the story is printed using the finest quality inks onto clean, beautiful, yet recycled paper. The dust cover contains images of an art-like origin, and it does, indeed, have it's own unique ISBN. As for the story itself, it is a better sequel than, say, Legally Blonde 2, and makes House Party 2 look like House Party 3. In ...
