Digital SLR Cameras & Photography For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech)) 31 reviews David D. Busch
For Dummies, 2007
A Must Read Resource... ..for the beginner digital SLR photographer. I am sure an expert could take a little something from this book, as well. I used this book as a research tool to help decide which camera to buy. It has enough substance that I keep it handy as a ready reference while taking pics in the field. The author does a great job keeping the attention of the experienced and the inexperienced photographer.

Canon EOS 40D Guide to Digital Photography 40 reviews David D. Busch
Course Technology PTR, 2007
Excellent Book for Beginners and Pros This book is excellent for even the pro that is used to working with more mechanical based digital or film analog cameras. It has an excellent and thorough outlay of the information needed for both a beginner and a pro diving into this very fine camera. Very highly recommended to those looking to learn more in depth on the vast array of features the 40D has to offer.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi/400D Guide to Digital SLR Photography 6 reviews David D. Busch
Course Technology PTR, 2007
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi/400D Guide to Digital SLR Photography review This book by BUSCH is better than the one by LOWRIE because it contains pictures of the actual camera and controls, which serve to make it easier to use. It is logical and almost step by step in it's instruction. It covers much of what the camera can do, even the custom functions in detail.
It is very straightforward and extremely helpful for anyone who has this complex camera, which can do a ...

Digital Photography All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies 27 reviews David D. Busch, Dan Simon, ...
Wiley Publishing, Inc., 2003
7 in 1 has it all. A total encyclopedia in one. This is truly an excllent reference book. I was in the process of buying a scanner and upgrading a digital camera. It was helpful on both counts.
A great reference as well as instruction book.
Only one suggestion I would make to the author when he updates.
Explain the pro's and con's about 3 or 4 in one machines. For instance is the scanning as good as a stand alone scanner.
All in all a ...

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Guide to Digital SLR Photography 14 reviews David D. Busch
Course Technology PTR, 2006
Excellent Through, well written, and well illustrated for the Canon XT and Canon accessories.
I have only one criticism: While the book does cover some items not made by Canon, it ignored other very useful accessories made by other manufacturers. For example, the Opteka BGRXT Grip for Canon XT. This grip houses twice the battery power in the form of either two of the stock batteries or six ...

Digital Travel Photography Digital Field Guide 6 reviews David D. Busch
Wiley, 2006
Another great field guide I used this author's D50 field guide to learn to use my Nikon camera. Now, just when I am ready to set out on a dream vacation with my family, he comes out with this guide aimed especially at those taking vacation or travel photographs.
I must admit that I like this one even better than the D50 book, mostly because 1/3 of it is NOT taken up with explanations of how to use camera controls. ...

Nikon D70 Digital Field Guide 55 reviews David D. Busch

A great Field Guide This book is designed as 30% how to operate the camera and 70% how to use the camera to take pictures in various situations. The first part of the book (the 30%) is a brief overview of things you would probably learn in the camera operators manual, with some tips that are a nice touch to help you understand practical applications of the camera settings. But the author notes that you need to go ...

Quick Snap Guide to Digital SLR Photography: An Instant Start-Up Manual for New dSLR Owners 13 reviews David D. Busch
Course Technology PTR, 2006
Prosumer reference for the new or prospective owner I would describe myself as a committed amature or a prosumer photographer. In the next few months, I will be upgrading to a digital SLR in the 6-10 MP range. But which one? I consider myself knowlegeable about photography, but the array of features of dSLR cameras was overwhelming. Which are going to be important to me, given my typical needs?
This reference was just what I needed! Using a ...

David Buschs Digital Infrared Pro Secrets 4 reviews David D. Busch
Course Technology PTR, 2007
A breakthrough book on infrared photography Actually, as the author points out in several places in this book, digital infrared photography is exclusively near infrared (NIR)photography, and should not be confused with heat/thermal photography, which, as Busch says, is something else entirely.
Indeed, the technical accuracy and depth of coverage are one of the strengths of this book. It explains the process of IR photography in enough ...
