The Glory of America 1 review Peter Marshall, David Manuel
New Life Publications, 2002
Japanese Cooking I lived in Japan for nineteen years and found this book way back then and have continued to use it. I still maintain it has the most authentic recipes for Japanese cooking. I was so glad to find I could still purchase this book even though it is now out of print. I bought three copies for my children who still like to eat their favourite dishes.

I am a Father (I am a Father, Celebrating African-American Fathers) 1 review David Manuel, 2007
Excellent Book on African American Fathers This book is so refreshing... I am so proud to see our African American fathers portrait in such a positive manner. To hear the stories from the children voices tell me that we have some dads doing the right thing.... still teaching traditional values. Looking forward to the next book... "I am a Mother"

Light and the Glory for Children 4 reviews Peter Marshall, Anna Wilson Fishel, ...
Topeka Bindery, 1992
Children will gain insight about America's Christian roots. Like the adult book of the same title, The Light and the Glory for Children examines evidence for America's Christian roots. The authors reveal a past that is not at all smooth. The challenges of settling this land and building a new nation are shown in their harsh reality. Equally, the faith that strengthened the people for these challenges is presented as inspiration for tomorrow's ...

Griego the Great and the Green Goopally Goop that Gobbled 3 reviews Manuel Alfaro
Dog Ear Publishing, LLC, 2007
Makes a Great Gift I read this book myself since my little nieces had it. They just love the story of the Green Goopally Goop eating everything up just like they do themselves. It's a creative story teaching kids not to eat too much junk food and it makes a rather good gift for a smaller cousin, sibling, nephew or niece.

The Light and the Glory: Library Edition 1 review Peter Marshall, David Manuel
Blackstone Audiobooks, 2007
Awesome and inspiring! The audio series like the book leaves no doubt in the listener's mind that GOD definitely had HIS divine hand upon our nation. This is a must read/listen for every Christian, every Christian home schooler, and every citizen of the United States of America! It should be mandatory reading in US History classes; as well as for every Representative and Senator that goes to Washington. Hopefully, ...

Once Upon a Prayer: How to Hear God in Your Heart 1 review David Manuel
McDougal Publishing Company, 2004
Dialogue with Jesus In this valuable book David Manuel provides his operational definition of what is involved in having a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Often what this relationship means to born again Christians is not so clear. The life described in Once Upon a Prayer is at once radical and at the same time is available to all who believe and call upon the name of the Lord. It ...

From Sea to Shining Sea Children's Activity Book 1 review Peter Marshall, Joan M. Schmidt, ...
Topeka Bindery, 1996
Peter Marshall books are A++++++ My oldest girls and I read this series, The Light and the Glory and From Sea to Shining Sea, together for American History. My younger daughter and I will do the same, plus I've bought the younger versions and activity books to go with them. We met Mr. Marshall when he visited our area years ago. He is a dedicated American and believer. The information he gathered from our government archives is ...

From Sea to Shining Sea for Children: Discovering God's Plan for America in Her First Half-Century of ... 3 reviews Peter Marshall, David Manuel, ...
Revell, 1993
A continuation of the great Christian heritage of our nation Once I read The Light and The Glory with my children, I knew that their education in American history would not be complete without this book. We were not disappointed. This book continues the narration of the great Christian heritage of the USA. As the settlers struggled to carve out a nation and our fledgling country grappled with issues between ourselves, our neighboring countries, and ...

A Matter of Time (Faith Abbey Mystery Series, Book 3) 1 review David Manuel

A Matter of Time: A Faith Abbey Mystery Of greater interest to the reader with knowledge of Bermuda and sailing than to one who values subtle writing. The plot and characters are disappointingly transparent.

A Matter of Diamonds (Faith Abbey Mystery Series, Book 2) 2 reviews David Manuel
Grand Central Publishing, 2002
A Diamond of a Mystery Taking place in the beautiful Cape Cod area, Mr. Manuel tells an exciting tale that keeps you reading until the mystery is finally solved. Though there is murder involved, Faith Abbey figures prominently in the book and this provides a wonderful side story. The other books in the series are terrific too! Highly recommended.

Bosnia: Hope in the Ashes 1 review David Manuel
Paraclete Press (MA), 1996
The title says it all... It is hard to imagine what good exists in the Yugoslavian crisis. This book highlights an important part of the Bosnian story, all too overlooked. The book is both interesting and compelling, drawing us in by its simplicity and the surprise that there really is hope. World citizens have a responsibility to understand the issues in what makes our world fall apart, and how it gets put back ...

A Matter of Roses (Faith Abbey Mystery Series, Book 1) 8 reviews David Manuel
Paraclete Press (MA), 1999
A Matter of Roses is a Rare Find A MATTER OF ROSES is wonderful stuff--a multidimensional mystery that grips even non-mystery buffs. Following Peter Ellis' Brother Cadfael tradition, the book features as sleuth Brother Bartholomew, a monk at Faith Abbey. The story opens with Green Beret Mac Curtis'love for Nurse Susan, a love engendered principally by her recognition of the hurt boy beneath Curtis' macho veneer. Sue ...

From Sea to Shining Sea 7 reviews Peter Marshall, David Manuel
Chosen Books, 1985
Check Into It I liked this book better than The Light And The Glory. It is true, and must be admitted by those who look at history objrctively, that the Christian religion has had an enormous impact on the course of events in the United States . . . much more so than secular historians would have us believe. My favorite part was the minute account of the Second Great Awakening - particuarly the revival ...

Sounding Forth the Trumpet 14 reviews Peter Marshall, David Manuel
Revell, 1998
Another masterpiece! So far I've read all three books in the series, and I eagerly await the fourth! Marshall and Manuel describe the period leading up to the Civil War in a way that you will not see done in government schools today. Again, this is a must-read for anyone who is either home-schooling their children, or for those who have children in government schools. So much of history is distorted today. It is ...

The Light and the Glory 39 reviews Peter Marshall, David Manuel
Revell, 1977
The light and the glory The information in this book is invaluable to each and every American. Now more than ever we should cherish our early beginnings in this country and pass this on to generations to come. The more intimate happenings to our early fathers become more relevant and personal through this well documented study.
