Israel & The Nations - Solid History Well Told
Israel & The Nations packs an incredible level of detail into a well flowing and very readable history. I highly recommend it for the Bible student or teacher who is seeking to have a clear chronological context for the events in the Scriptures. The authors' accounts are concise and fact-laden. The account of Nebuchadnezzar's defeat of Pharaoh Necho, the subsequent deportations of Israelis to ...

Intense, very involving, transcendent novel.
Bought this novel this summer in Buxton on Hatteras Island, NC -- been going down there for about 30 years so to read about Corolla before it was built up was a real pleasure - - aside from that, I am taking my time with this joyous, sad, crazy, intense book. Today I had to take an hour in the tub with it (not quite at the end yet), so I could give it the focus it deserves, for the Penny Hill ...

Well written and factual.
Stem Cells derived from Human Umbilical Cord blood are safe, ethical and have great promise to help with those disabilities, such as Cerebral Palsy, for which no cure exists today. Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down and am waiting for the sequel to be published!

Exhaustive coverage of the so-called Second Isaiah
Needless to say, the combined 900 pages (including Isaiah 40-55 Vol 1: A Critical and Exegetical Commentary (International Critical Commentary) (Hardcover) (International Critical Commentary)) will be the benchmark for further studies on these 16 chapters. Reflecting an evangelical-critical perspective, Goldingay suggests the prophet Isaiah as progenitor for the author of 40-55. Not to be missed ...

Puts it all in one (rather long) place
The real purpose of this book is the fold-out time-line. It is beautiful and about 5 feet long (8 pages). It makes good use of color and symbols. It compares Biblical events with other world events to help give it a better context. The chart can be easily removed without damage, but you may need to re-staple the book (or throw it away). The chart is printed on only one side of coated glossy ...

Beckett Baseball Card review
My son and the neighbors boys have not stopped looking up the value of their precious collectibles. It is easy to use. Some of their cards are worth 7 cents and some several hundred dollars. They are having a blast with it. My husband is enjoying it too. He is now lamenting losing one of his old Mickey Mantle cards. I highly recommend it for your baseball card collectors, young or old.

This was an educational and worthwhile project for our Bible history class!
The Temple model itself is fun to put together (be sure to use clips to hold the pieces in place as they dry). I'm especially grateful for the accompanying booklet which tells the history of Solomon's Temple and a clear description of each section of it, and gives brief histories of Zerubabel's and Herod's Temples. I wish the authors would come out with a Herod's Temple model! I'd love to ...

Masterful, brilliant, wonderful ... a pure joy
David Payne proves once again why his books are so highly anticipated. The parallel story lines in Wando Passo are utterly compelling; the intrigue the author leaves at the end of each transition precludes putting the book down. Simply put, another wonderful read by one of America's very best writers.

No finer book for the finer points of Excel
I am a heavy duty user of Excel and I support users of the application too. This is one of the best books I have seen on Excel's most powerful features. The chapters on array formulas and range names are the best I have read on the subject. This book is outstanding. I am here writing this review because I was hoping to order a copy for work.

an undiscovered gem
David Payne is one of the most brilliant and insightful students of family at work in this country today. The prose is lapidary; the three first person narrators-- husband, wife and 12-yr.-old Joey-- authentic and distinct. This book is a stirring, if unnoticed masterpiece.

Happy to see it's still here and loved...
I, too, read this book several years ago and remember it vividly. For a long time it was almost like a bible for me. I carried it everywhere, would read parts of it to friends. I found that it engaged every emotion. I particularly enjoyed the first part, where the"orphan' boy sets out on his journey from the great canyons of China to find his father in the great canyons of Wall Street. ...
