Barnum!: In Secret Service to the USA1 review
Howard Chaykin, David Tischman

Vertigo, 2005

Three Rings of Fun
This is a fun book! If you are looking for something with humorous adventure and maybe a dash of steampunk, this is a good choice. It is akin to the old TV show Wild Wild West, though with Barnum (and his circus) serving Cleveland rather than West serving Grant. The artwork is great and very much compliments the story. As there is only a smidge of nudity, I am not sure why this ran in the ...

Captures The Essence Of Star Trek Perfectly
This is a great book. It really has the characterizations down pat. From McCoy saying "He's dead Jim" many times to the banter between Kirk, Spock and Bones, these stories have the feel of left-over scripts from the original series. The art is somewhat cartoony at times but it works. There is one instant classic panel which shows Kirk in his melodramatic pose of being in pain from an unseen force ...

Son of Superman8 reviews
Howard Chaykin, David Tischman

DC Comics, 2000

Ultra Good book
The book "Son of Superman" was one of the most awesomest books I have ever read. Although it has the same proablems all Graphic novels has, Shortness, it is still a good buy. the takes place in the future where an evil martian manhunter got superman and the world has become place where order is more than justice. The JLA become surrenders to the man and works on a payroll, not even a justice ...

The Complete Bite Club3 reviews
Howard Chaykin, David Tischman

Vertigo, 2007

The Blood Sucking Mafia
This volume collects both the "Bite Club" mini-series & it's sequel "Bite Club: Vampire Crime Unit" First Landis did it with "Innocent Blood" and now Chaykin does it with "Bite Club" Of course I'm talking about the combination of The Mafia & Vampires. But whereas Landis's movie was a horror-comedy, Chaykins tale is more like a sexed-up drama, soaked in blood & bullets. Make no mistake ...
